You are, indeed, correct, MR.
I'll give it no more thought, it doesn't warrant it.

I think your guests will be happy with whatever tasty snacks you set before them, kelli. If you really want to recognize the Fourth of July, do like others have mentioned and make a treat with a red, white and blue theme--like something creamy (Frozen yogurt? Vanilla ice cream?) with strawberries and blueberries. Really, we're all so different over here there isn't one standard food for the Fourth.

I am about to attempt The First Bath. I have been putting it off. Wish me luck.

Sol - they are Slippery When Wet. Use a towel or cloth to grab hold of Star when lifting him, you'll get a better grip.
Other than that, good luck.
Every time I read about Hyp's Ballistic 4th of July Potatoes, I laugh happily to myself for minutes on end.
Mags - Family. Feh.

I used to get Mr T to hand the baby in to me while I was in the bath. It meant having cooler bath water than normal but was otherwise lovely.
With a bit of luck, Daddy will remove the baby after you've washed him - and leave you to top up with hot water and have a nice soak while he dries and dresses the infant

I think everyone else covered most of my favorite Independence Day traditions. Blowing stuff up, hot dogs, hamburgers, cold drinks, potato salad. For me, the 4th of July also conjures up memories of mosquitoes and sunscreen.

Hello everyone -
I'm now the proud owner of another fluffy black cat - name Anabella. Yes stupid name for a cat - she's currently hidden in behind the sofa.
We're letting her get settled in before we decide to introduce them.

It's raining, it's raining!
Most of last week was grey and cold, but not a drop of rain. The lawns currently look more like wheat fields after harvest - all yellow and stubbly.
I'd prefer it to be warm and rainy though, but hey - can't have it all...
*wondering how Phil's weekend turned out weatherwise*

Oh, and it's not every day that you see two mother Theresa nuns walking along the tube platform, happily chatting. Yup, complete with the blue stripes on white. I wonder what they're doing in Stockholm?
Threats of a bus strike tomorrow, in which case I'll have to go back to using the commuter train - as will everyone else, so if the strike does happen, the trains will be absolutely crowded, especially seeing as how they now run on summer timetable (half as many trains).

Ti, I think that order has chapter houses in various locations. Perhaps they are opening one in Stockholm. Or they could have been on holiday. *wonders if they are allowed holidays* And congratulations on the rain. I would have gladly sent you some of ours if I could have arranged it.
Z, do you still have Fluffy?
My weekend was a mixed bag. But I personally was absolutely brilliant. I may do a journal entry about it if I can squeeze out some time after while. I even took advantage of smellfungus no longer being on my board to be unpleasant to her.

Ugh. It's going to be 97F/36C today. That's far too hot for me. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

Supposed to hit triple digits in SLC today. Not particularly looking forward to that.
