*Raises in toast*
All I can say is that your father must have been an incredable guy if you are able to call up a favour that old.

B4 - did I ever mention that your signatures are quuite fab?
I've only laid carpet once and we didn't have to puch the carpet under anything as the room was newly done from the scratch - so that we could fix things in the right order. But stretching some 18 m2 of carpet was a wee bit on the straining side...
Sounds lovely, your new place...

The only time I've put carpet down was to unroll it from when it was rolled up (so the chipboard floor could be replaced).
I'm currently waiting for MC to arrive back home after her regular tuesday guitar duet playing. I want to see if I can persuade her to take a short drive out somewhere dark to see if we can see any aurora

I'm amazed to hear from Amy that it's possible to be well paid for being a teacher in Bradford! But it might be danger money if the school's in certain areas around here...

witty moniker, as a medieval world student (history module) I am slightly worried by the social sciences teacher, but then they're not the humanities department so what would they know?
It is probably only a valid source when you know the history of the period and can spot all the inaccuracies!

The Northern Lights could be seen from Missoula Sunday night. There's a lovely photo here:

Plus some links at the bottom of the article to sites that might perhaps have............a webcam!
I missed out on them because I was dead asleep.

I couldn't sleep because I was worrid about my bank balance.
I love online banking.
I still can't sleep. But I'm not worried about my bank balance any more.

*Thanks FG for the lovely candles, and the artichoke, and rolls up her sleeves*
Warning: Rant
MEDIEVAL TIMES?!??!?! Blimey, thank the gods someone was awake enough to nip it in the bud. The very thought! It makes me ill to think that someone thought teaching medieval history could be done by going to that overpriced tourist claptrap of a place. But what makes me even more ill is the idea that someone would even suggest that A Knight's Tale has anything to do with the medieval period, throwing Edward the Black Prince in there not withstanding (yes, of course I saw it...and loathed it, except for the factor of Heath Ledger). Better to watch Holy Grail, or 13th Warrior, for crying out loud!
Thank you for putting up with that. End of rant.
Well, okay, sort of. D's trip today...yes, FG, D knew Natives in Missoula. And she knows a few here. What bothers me more than anything else is that instead of, oh, going to the interpretive center in Corona, or the Broward Children's Museum in Santa Ana, which has a lovely Native American interactive display, they went to an amusement park. Blows my mind, really.
No, really, I'm done now.
