Agapanthus

I was almost weeping at the fate of the golden frogs the other night. And Attenborough may be showing his age, but I have SUCH a crush on the man. He even got me to watch slugs mating without screaming and running away (me, that is, not the slugs. They seemed quite happy).

MR - I meant to say, oops - damn, that's rough. Fingers crossed they sort it out very quickly.

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.")

According to J, I am a "Brat Child", sending her flowers at work when I "wasn't supposed to" might have something to do with it.

MR, she doesn't take them home and decorate her nest with them, does she?

Regarding shiny thigns on the ground, I don't want to answer for MR, so I won't. But I have seen the nest in question, and it is decorated.

MR, that's terrible. I hope they catch whoever did it, and make them give you the leather sofa they bought with your tax return.

You know, that would go really well with the itchy blue pants.

USAians have probably seen this 30-second ad: it basically has two messages.

1. Eat all you want and still lose weight!
2. And we couldn't say it on television if it wasn't true!

The second is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time...

Mornin All smiley - biggrin

Another beautiful dawn and it looks like we have a good weekend on the way.

Teuchter, you'd feel at home in our hoos, Mrs WA has collected froggie bits and pieces for ages. We even have a frog loo roll holder in the down stairs loo.

David Attenborough is on my list of all time favourite great blokes. There's something very attractive about passionate men, no matter the object of their passion.

Great hat, Lentilla.

Wonders how long a piece of string would be needed to knit such a thing.

We watched the Life in Cold Blood thing last night as I wasn't in on monday and so taped it. It is fantastic isn't it. To see all those creatures and have the nicely paced, not dumbed down explanation of what we were seeing. That tiny little frog about the size of a fingernail!
There are indeed more things in heaven and earth than can be dreamt about.

Regarding glasses

I'm almost as blind as a bat (I've only met one person with a stronger prescription). My spare pair are 2 prescriptions out of date, but my sunglasses are newer. I only had the lenses in my glasses changed, not the whole thing, last summer. My spare pair are kept in a brightly coloured case so they show up in the drawer.

I have a job to start Monday, but it's not the one I wanted.

David Attenborough is certainly inspiring.

And that does look a fun hat.

smiley - goodluck with the new job, Rosemary. Perhaps it will lead on to something you do want?
I reckon no experience is ever wasted, though it may be a few years before you realise what the benefit was.
Frustrating though, to not be doing what you want to be doing.

My recent prescription for spectacles is already redundant, thanks to the meds I'm on.
This is greatly harrrumphing since both current pairs of specs were rather expensive; the sensible variofocal ones for wo*k and the smart, cool and se*y ones for pretending I'm twenty years younger and three times more attractive smiley - erm

Right. I'm off to walk round the policies before I descend into whineyness. Again.
