Garius Lupus sent me this link; you might call it an original interpretation of an old rock standard.

That... was awesome. As in awe inspiring. Thanks, Lil, and please send GL my thanks! How's he doing?

Most entertaining!
Get well, Marv. Glad they seem to have given you something that's working.
What an awful thing to happen MR! As if fighting with departments like the Inland Revenue every year weren't bad enough.
I have places in my flat for things like glasses and keys. If I ever put them somewhere unusual, I am stuffed.
Hope J has forgiven you, GDZ. I saw a card I was tempted to buy for B which went something like: 'They had decided not to do anything for Valentine's Day, and John had taken this literally' with a picture of a sobbing woman and a man taking his bags to the door...

That was fun Lil. Though perhaps no stranger than say the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain doing a cover of Mis Dy-na-mit-tee or Nouvelle Vague's bossa nova reworking of songs such as Teenage Kicks.
Teenage kicks so hard to beat, John Peel's favourite line from his favourite song as recently inscribed on his gravestone.

Interesting link, Lil.
Here's another that scores high on the incongruity scale. The sense of sheer joyfulness makes me smile every time I watch it.

Garius is working hard, raising a teenage daughter who plans to become a potter, and getting ready to indulge in his passion for... gardening. He sent me before-after pictures of the garden at his previous home, but I've lost them in the shift from one computer to another.

*sighs*
Gardening seems so far away, what with several feet of snow on the ground.

'Smoke on water' - I agree with the comment 'it was great until they started to sing'
'Zorba the Greek' - bah! (sorry, know several Greek folk dances so am a bit predujiced)
Get well soon, Marv!
Bright green knitted mohawk to go with the blue fuzzies?

I thought the singing was the best part. But then, it was late, and I was tired.

It was the combination of traditional Aboriginal dancing with Greek music that I liked, Ti - a melding of two ancient cultures.
And that guy, right in the middle, is so ... bendy.
I just thought it looked like fun

That was aboriginal dancing? I hadn't realized! I thought they were zombies. That being said, I agree, the bloke front and center really nailed the dance. I enjoyed watching it.

I'm currently loving the Red Hot Chili Pipers - a group of bagpipers affectinately known as jock'n'roll, who cover Smoke on the Water, natch, as well as Voodoo Chile, Clocks, You're the Voice....

Not in Lincoln! I had hardly been open half an hour when seven tourists showed up. I don't reckon to get any studying done today.
I also forgot to bring my cordless mouse in with me. Fortunately I have a backup mouse here, but it's so old it doesn't even have a scroll wheel.

*Irv has never owned a mouse with a functioning scroll wheel*
