Aaww the cattle prod
But not in this conversation
Am still 225 posts behind in the last conversation
And b'log will be building up fast in this, I'm afraid.
Because I go to Italy tonight. . To visit husband S.'s family and play at a Folkmusic Festival in Rovigi.
When I've finished the last of my w*rk.
Sorry to have been absent from the last conversation. A lot of deadlines collided as did a lot of problems with kids.
I have made notes of a few things I want to answer or comment in the last conversation. It is allowed, I hope - if time allows.
Back to w*rk

DD:
Enquiring minds ~did~ want to know. Thanks for the review of who'd bagged how many FTTF Mugs. I will not rest until the mantle in my home sports one, as well. You've given me hope and incentive to stick with it. Notice how well I've kept up with the thread so far?
tartaronne:
Sad to hear you'll be away for a while, yet happy you've got the chance for an exceedingly wonderful holiday. About commenting on past threads, just remember to list the Subject thread number, the specific posting and which LED range it was in, include links within the body of your posting for quickest access and review, and set up an off-site webpage with screen shots of the particular parts of the convo you're referring to. And don't forget to e-mail and snail mail all parties involved in the context of the discussion.
Just kidding.
Of ~course~ you can bring up past topics. We love to fagellate expired equines here.

Wow I thought that I had been FTTF far fewer times than that. Just makes me realize how long I have been part of this particular conversation.

Afternoon!
Just back from giving legal notice of my upcoming nuptials. Anyone who wishes to object should report to Maidenhead Registrar's Office

No objections here, kelli!
I took the personality test that Amy did, and came out a mentor with Planner/Ideas/Hearts/Extrovert.
Warm and lively people who focus on the needs of others
Bring people together and encourage group participation
Think of themselves as intelligent, outgoing and sensitive
May become overbearing in their quest for harmony
Well, now. Looks like my proposed career as a college professor is pretty dead on the mark. Particularly that last one...I'm a huge fan of group projects, in which each person has to contribute something (and I make damned sure that they do).
I'm thinking about turning on the news to watch what's happening in Russia, but I think I'm too emotional today to deal with it.

I usually consider myself as a news addict - but just in this case, the mere thought of all those poor, poor kids gives me enough of a queasy feeling in my stomach to not really want to go watch the news...
I mean - just a quick look on any of my kids at the same time would put me in a despairing, protecting, "no, no, no" mode....
for the kids, parents and sad people in Russia...

I came out as a Provider on that personality quiz - planner/facts/hearts/extrovert - and it more or less had me down to a T.
And Z - I'm with you on the zero-shockability score on the 'Disgusting' test - like you, I just thought of patient care and putting on latex gloves. The photo of the maggot infested gingivae just had me thinking how I would clean it up.
Spent several hours suit-hunting this afternoon with J - and came to the conclusion that she has an expensive body as the only jackets which fitted properly were in the £200 price bracket .
Just as well she's training to be a lawyer, she'll need that level of income to sustain an elegant sartorial standard!
I am aghast at the suffering of those Russians. Shooting at children is utterly despicable and there can be absolutely no excuse for it.

The situation in Russia is one of those that is almost impossible to understand.
Just how long will it take for the skunk smell to wear off of Jersey Gummo? Poor fellow.
Lil, I'm sorry about the wolf.

Dang DD - you beat me to it! I started counting mugs but didn't get very far before it was time to leave w*rk... but one of Witty's mugs was actually a black T-shirt, so there!

Rats !!!
Got home from work, fired up my main PC ready to settle in for a while online only to have a power outage
Came back on after 10 minutes, well everything except my main PC came back on.
Looks like the Power supply killed itself, I just hope it hasn't taken everything else with it

That's always ugly, BB. Hope it gets straightened out soon.
The heating elements in the dryers in our laundry room have gone all fritzy again. An hour later, everything was still wet. I hate when that happens.
I am resolutely avoiding the news today. I think I'd spend the day sobbing if I watched it.

And Clinton will have open-heart surgery tomorrow.
DD, thank you for that archaeological work on FTTF mugs. Yes, there are also t-shirts available, and I believe there was a choice of mug or tee at one time. Maybe the t-shirts were damaged when the Ice Man ran amok. I'll check.
I went to a little recently-opened book store in Capitan last night and came away, not just with a couple of purchases but also with some free books ! Advance copies. All I have to do is say what I think of them after a read them, and then I can have some more. The store is going to do a presentation of my art work, with a little reception on Guy Fawkes Day.

Kids do have a tough time many places in the world
Horrible experience for the children and their families in Russia.
Lil, I'm afraid that I'm not up to date with your wolf?
B4: "About commenting on past threads, just remember to list the Subject thread number, the specific posting and which LED range....."
And that gives me opportunity to ask if LED is one of those dots to the right that contains 20 posts?
I wasn't my intention to hamper this conversation with 'old topics'. Just wanted to put my oar in at the end of the last conversation.
But alas, time is flying, and I still haven't packed.
I expect, though, that the subjects which interest me will pop up again some time: kids, examens, politics, poetry, relations with other people and everyday life.
Key: Complain about this post
