Shame. i was reading a newspaper article the other day about what a terrible state he was in- wheelchair-bound, grossly overweight, 11 million dollars in debt, no hope of work, he'd apparently hidden his two oscars so that they wouldn't get stolen. In a way, it's probably not so bad that he died. he didn't seem to have much left to live for.

It is very sad how Brando's life collapsed.
I have rummaged around and downloaded CD-EX as it comes with a LAME encoder and CDDB access.
I am now working my way through CDs, filing up a hard drive with mp3s but still I have three more to go (hard drives that is). I am currently burning an M People compilation, haven't listend to them for ages. If the rain stops over the weekend, I shall drop the top, turn up the base and give the lads on the Kev run a demo on how it is really done. It is the first Sunday of the month too so the Guildford Cruise will be underway too

Is it the first Sunday of the month? I must remember to go to the Farmers' Market though somehow that seems less than the Guildford Cruise
.
Actually that fits in fine because I can go and see if they've reduced the prices of the running shirts in the M&S sale while I'm in town and then I'll have a bus ticket that I can use to go and check out the course for next week's 5k race.

I prepare tofu that way just before making the main dish, Hypatia, and I do not season the water. That's because whatever I'm putting it in has enough going on without adding extra zing.
Speaking of Bonanza, there's a wonderful sendup of it and the Bush Administration in Fahrenheit 9/11. Instead of the map of the Ponderosa Ranch burning, it's a map of Afghanistan.

Could it be "Welcome Back Kotter" Amy?
Egon, you're not *that* young!
if someone would be so kind as to give me a post code for, say, Hyde Park, I could look and see what sainsbury's has in the way of subs for hominy...
Tonight, out with the girls. Tomorrow, an arts festival with my boy.

Thanks, FG. I'll try that. With all of my veggies coming on in my garden, I'll be doing lots of stir-frys.
Any of you who garden....if you haven't planted Gold Rush zucchini, you have to try it. This is the first year I've planted it. It's delicious. It has the shape of a zucchini but is a deep golden color. The seeds stay small and the flesh is creamy and firm. It's wonderful in the wok. Up till now, my favorite summer squash to stir fry has been the white patty pan. But I really love this variety.
I like to make zucchini pickles. I'm going to mix the green and gold together with some red peppers. The pickles should be gorgeous.

Calico Mary Flint
Often indecisive, you can't even choose a favorite color. You're apt to follow wherever the wind blows you, just like Calico Jack Rackham, your namesake. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

Well, that contract's over...
Had a headache most of the day, but still had a good lunch with colleagues. I left Watford at about 2.45, and only got home at about 6.15. Since it should be a 2 hour or 2 and a half hour run, you'll appreciate just how held up I was. However, the delay was a fatal accident some miles ahead, and I am simply grateful not to have been involved.
If you were listening to Radio 2 this afternoon, you'd have heard Sally Traffic thank 'a girl called Ben' for reporting the delay.

A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you are that person. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!
Yeah - well - I guess the rock part is Kristina and the flint part is Titania!

Mad Davy Rackham
Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!
Crazy like the fox!
does that mean me and Marv are the same?

Iron Bess Bonney
A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you are that person. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!
Hmmm.
