I always have dreams that I'm running away from things. Murderers from horror movies, the police, my parents... I'm always just a little ahead, but never manage to get away. I'm sure that has quite an obvious meaning, but oh well.
G7, I have a kitten! We adopted him 2 weeks ago from a rescue organization that saved him from being put down at the pound (he was feral). He's an 11 week old orange tabby! He's an absolute spaz, and he gets along with the ferrets very interestingly. He chases them occasionally, but hasn't quite progressed to the pouncing phase. The ferrets occasionally turn and chase him, and that freaks him out a great deal.

I just watched "Iron Jawed Angels," and I highly recommend it. I think the best quote from the movie was from a doctor who was supposed to agree to committing Alice Paul as a mental patient. When he was told that comparing her hunger strike to the bravery of the soldiers going off to fight WWI was like comparing apples and oranges, he replied, "in oranges and women, courage is often mistaken for insanity."

I recently watched 'Sling Blade' on Swedish TV (I think I've seen it before) starring/directing Billy Bob Thornton - now, that was quite a good film, but a bit sad...

I would love to have a pet but A wants a - and we can't have either until we have a place of our own.. I think we've settled on a guiena pig and a house if we do ever get around to getting a place where we can keep pets. In addition to my collection of potplants, and my

Sometimes I wish I had a car I really do.. I've arranged to meet a friend to go to Cambridge gliding tomorrow, at 8.45 am, in the city centre.. but there are no trains tomorrow morning, so it's going to be a that leaves horribly early

Lil, my recurring dreams involve places I've been already, but I've heard of dreams that happen someplace you've never been as well. Generally they are something that you've seen in a movie or picture or a place that you've read about - like in Otherland, T. Perhaps if you took more control in the dream you could get closer in...
sea, congrats on the kitten! LTP's advice is very good, but the most important thing is that you love your , as I am sure you already know, dear.
I had missed logging on from home. This should save me at least some of the 200+ blog days.

* arrives and slumps in a corner *
I've just had the most fraught day. The 500 mile round trip to support my team is fine, I can do that.
What I can't handle is spending nearly 2 hours broken down on the side of the M40. You're not supposed to sit in your car in these scenarios as it is *highly* dangerous on the hard shoulder of a motorway - 1 in 7 of motorway deaths by all accounts. So I stood at the top of the embankment and quietly froze to death in the Oxfordshire sunshine.
Once the car was fixed I decided to press on to Sheffield. It was 130 miles to the ground and 90 minutes before kick-off. Yes I spent the rest of the journey shifting flat out and pushing any other traffic out of my way. So I'm sorry if you got harrassed by a high speed white Peugeot this afternoon on the M1, I was in a hurry
Oh, and we lost the game. Sodding Brummies

Rereading that I think I should point out that I didn't make it for the kick-off. I was half an hour late, what with having to find somewhere to park near the ground and all that sort of stuff.

I have weird dreams. And they never get resolved, there's always this cliff-hanger, and I never get to find out what happened after that.
It's even worse when I can't remember the dream. Then I want to know what it is that I don't know how it ends.
