I believe Egon arrived in this thread too -- 0 joined us in the last thread. Mac has been popping by, and Munchkin has become a rare sighting, like a whooping crane, although not as endangered...
That was I who hit the squirrel, and I went "Wahhh!" at the time, then apologised.
Every time I log in, I find myself in goo, which I love, but it's not what's in my personal details. Is this a known feature?

Speaking of driving and running over things, this morning on my way to work I stopped my car for a pedestrian. While I was waiting for her three cars passed me on my right and kept driving like I was holding up traffic or something!

This morning I watched as the school shuttle bus went around the school bus while its lights were flashing and kids were getting on.
When did drivers decide that stopping for pedestrians and school busses were optional?

Most drivers are idiots. That is really all that is wrong.

I'm not sure how it took me so long to get back in after The Changes, but anyway here I am now. Skipping backlog, I'm afraid.*flops down on sofa*
What's with the anagrams.

Just a fun way of renaming yourself for halloween. With Solnushka, you should have an interesting time of it... what was that website again?

Ah, yes.
Marv, Austin is a wonderful town. It's a very multicultural sort of place. There's swimming at Barton Creek, dining at vegetarian restaurants, Esther's Follies downtown, and music, music, music. The cost of finding a house in Austin is a little higher than in other parts of Texas, but it depends upon where you're looking.

Now that is a great website. *thinks* Not that I actually do a lot of anagramming, but it's not one of my skills, you know?
Wednesday I achieved one of my ambitions, entirely by accident. In the course of attending a chamber music concert mainly cos of the bass player getting top billing - they even shoved the piano to the back to make way for him, which is not a terribly usual occurance - they happened to play the Trout Quintet. I don't know why it didn't occur to me they'd do that. I mean there aren't actually that many pieces for an expanded quartet. But anyway they did. Must read the programme properly in future, though it was a nice surprise, so maybe not.
Mind you, the man had one of the dirtiest basses I've ever heard. It might be good for blasting through an orchestra at full throttle, but I wasn't too impressed by the noise it made up against the stradavarious of the violinist, for example. If he's that famous, you'd think he'd have a special chamber bass, but I gather his fame is more for being the head of some music organisation, which explains a lot.

FG, still debating over the apartments? How safe is the first neighbourhood after dark, if you had to nip out for some milk or something? Is it likely to be an up and coming area in the near furute? I sense you prefer the first the apartment and gut feelings are rarely wrong, so listen to your tummy!
Amy, H isn't popping into the Japanese multi-national today, but says from what he remembers in talking to returning executives there is little they take back form here. Was it Z who suggested a small piece from a local artist? I think that would be a nice reminder of home.
Very foggy here this morning, around 2ÂșC, which will cause traffic chaos no doubt. I am going to PC World later, once it has cleared, to buy Studio 8, I hope it isn't throwing good money afer bad. I really want to finish editing that tape though as I have others I also need to start on.

OK, so I'm a bit brainwashed from growing up in Sweden so when it comes to gift cards one of my first thoughts is IKEA - but they won't open in Japan until 2005

So, sounds like a flat packeg piece of furniture with a name like Strnasboergen would be perfect.

BC back from his and roomie's birthday celebration at a local club. Much beer was drunk by all. Marv and slumlord payed for most of it. Not entirely sober or responsible for his actions. That is all. Thank you very much for this brief interrregnum....

Hope the hospital visit is a good one Amy. I've almost done my alloted time with the for a while. I'm just waiting on going for an appointment when they get my results from hospital so I can find out what they were.

In reality the Slumlord payed for most of it as I borrowed money from him to buy Bryce and Mikey drinks...
