Glad you had fun, Ben. I'll remember to stop by in oh, 2 or 3 years!
Am now going to physical therapy for my shoulder. Man, it hurts. Apparently, both shoulders are impinged. I thought they were fine, but my doctor heard them crack and sent me to the PT. I never knew they were so screwed up...I just thought it was part of the aging process!
in which dark dank waters lie.

Well, I just made an upgrade of sorts to my main machine. The old case was over four years old and showing signs of aging. It is steel and heavy. I just bought an aluminum case with a window and thumbscrews (I thumbscrews) along with a lighted fan and plexiglas face. It is quite fecthing to this geek .
I made the requisit blood sacrifice to the machine as I was transfering the works from teh old case to the new. It wears my blood, thereby giving it a bond to me.
However, I did foul up some cabling and was unable to figure out what, till I walked away for a few hours. All is good now.

^pity about the rule of no interfering with other creatures in a harmful or malicious way, 'cos those little fishies in the tanks look very appetising.^

Mornin' folks. Who is that beautiful creature on the footstool washing her paws?
Except when a tentacle would lash upward and snare one, then disappear back down into the depths.
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Aug 9, 2003
Mystic Martin, welcome to the atelier! I had heard good things about you from other salonistas, and am glad you've decided to join the conversation here.
Gussie is a long-haired cat. I hadn't seen her in a while, but apparently she's been in the atrium with Mindspring.
Tomorrow I will ~definitely~ open up the planet workshop to you all. The view I wanted isn't quite done, but there will be other things to look at.

Hi Martin, Congratulations Caer.
I am going to brave the heat to get a thermometer for the flat. It is 29deg in the kitchen, and it claims to be 32 outside, but it feels about36 or so in the flat itself. I have shut the curtains, but rather too late to do any tood.
The cats and I are just lying around, panting.

Work again this morning. I hope that I can get through today without conflict. It has been rough going for ages and getting worse.

I don't stop by for 36 hours and look what happens! That must have been 357 LEDs, at least.
Anyone know a good electrician? I've lost power in several outlets and the circuit breakers do nothing.

This is too hard to track the thread names mentally. So I'm not.

Hi Martin. Welcome.
Another hot, dry day. I have reports to finish then have to see if I can get the shelving in the warehouse separated into piles so we can start putting them together next week.
My next door neighbor was taken to the hospital last night and I can't get any information about him. Neither hospital will admit he's been admitted and no one answers the phone at the house. Very troublesome.

Its about 30 deg in the flat, (about 86 in US dollars), but that is down from about 35 (95) earlier.
I wanna go ho-o-o-o-o-o-ome!
When I was sitting on K's balcony sipping white wine and overlooking the Thames on Saturday evening, I though "It will be really lovely to look at when it freezes over". I may have found Sweden a difficult place at times, but it shocks me to realise that I think it perfectly normal for large expanses of water to freeze solid in the winter.
I've done plus 30 and I've done minus 30 and minus 30's easier.

That would be too hard to do with the Panto, I think.
Advice for living in the heat without air-conditioning:
- Open all the windows as soon as it is cooler outside than in, or before you go to bed.
- Close all the windows first thing in the morning, and close the drapes, shades, etc.
- shut of any unnecessary electric devices. It's surprising how much heat they generate.
- eat ice cream

Unfortunately there is scaffolding on the next building, which means I am asking for burglers on the balcony if I leave the windows open at night. And it faces south.
Even the cats are exhausted!

Too hot for a convertible here! It was more comfortable driving with the top up.
The hottest palce so far today in the UK was at the RHS gardens, Wisley about 8 miles up the road.
Cassie is stretched out on the grass and has not touched her Whiskas tonight, even she is too hot to eat.
