That means I can start it tonight. Hoorah!!! Should nicely coincide with me finishing Tale of Two Cities, which I read purely out of a guilty feeling that I had never read Dickens and am thoroughly enjoying.

The new film, Nicholas Nickleby doesn't seem to be winning rave reviews, but I expect we shall go and see it. Ihave never read the book, just seen the tv series.
In fact that is true of all Dicken's books, apart from David Copperfield and Great Expectations. I did try to read Bleak House too, but it was too dull, however I was about 15 at the time. Perhaps it's time to revisit Dickens.
Had a rather unnerving experience at the gym. I was walking on the treadmill, on which I have progressed from walking and holding on to walking and not holding with a slight incline of 0.5% (well I don't want to over do it ) when the thing started going up all by itself to 13.5% . Most disturbing.

That's very nasty! I prefer a slope of 0.2% myself.
Today I am not well probably because the pressure is falling and so my badly and so I haven't gone to the gym. But some nasty men have started digging a hole right outside The Nest - not in the road but really just outside my front door - using a pneumatic drill . They claim to be fixing a drain.

Is that Professor Tonks under that blanket? I didn't notice him there before.

47% hipster. Must still be a slight residue from the 60's.
Amy. Hope your head's beter soon.
So, Caer, hope you didn't hurt yourself when the incline changed. They should warn you about somethng like that.
Wishing all of you at the meet a fun-filled adventure.
I got 2 more HPs yesterday and the audio came in.

40% Hipster, and I thought they were low slung trousers like wot we used to wear when I was a teenager in the dim and distant 70s.

Is that our Tonks? My word, he looks really used up. I wonder how many exams he sat.
I was visiting with a friend up the road for most of the afternoon. Most unexpectedly, I was given an armload of historic material and told it was now my responsibility! Nora has enough on her plate writing the book she is now writing on the Lincoln County Wars and, at age 78, doesn't think she has another book in her after this one.
I had already borrowed this particular heap of material from her once and been fascinated by it. Now I see several years of research on my future, on Frederick Tecumseh Waite.
Right now I am reading "What Should I Do With My Life?" by Po Bronson and not only enjoying but also benefitting from it. Has anyone else read it?

And that must be a really Hip site, as it appears to have suffered a spontaneous existance failure.
Does that mean that sites now suffer The Atelier effect

I had a lot of trouble loading that quiz as well, must have been us Salonistas and assorted lurkers rushing to take it...
I heard about that quiz on NPR this morning during the story about the Hipster Handbook. At the time I thought I might drop by and take the quiz today, but then I thought that a true hipster wouldn't take it anyway, but I couldn't resist. And as I expected, I'm so not. 47% and I *still* use the word awesome from time to time...
