Left arm going numb does not sound like a condition one should ignore.

I'm not planning on it. I'm hoping that I just slept on it wrong. If it doesn't stop soon, however... I see an emergency room visit in my near future.

Spray cheese in a can is not really cheese. It's some vile, yellow-orange oil that is artificially flavored to taste like some maniac's idea of cheese. It's one of my irrational hates. I also hate that people park in front of my house (living across the street from a hospital means there is *always* someone parked in front of my house).
Gw7en, is there a reason for your left arm going numb? Like are you leaning on it in a strange position? If there is no good, obvious reason you should probably get to an emergency room.

Spray cheese is terrible. But it's still better than processed cheese food, which can be used to etch glass.
No good reason that I can tell, d'E. If I drop off line, you'll know I'm on my way to see a doc.

This comes from a cheese lover: I would rather have NO cheese than spray cheese or fat free cheese. I eat real cream cheese--just don't put as much on the bagel or cracker. Same thing with mayo......just use less.

Apparently, one can no longer purchase the most commonly known brand of aerosol cheese-like product. A152821

Spray cheese, ick!

Hmmm, cheese. Has there ever been a food whose dignity has been so insulted by imitation?? Sigh.
Hyp, have you ever tried a type of cheese called Neufchatel? It is low fat, and tastes exactly like real cream cheese; if you add a tablespoon or two of skim milk, it is even as creamy as real cream cheese. It's a natural cheese, not a fake cream cheese product. The brand you're most likely to find in your neck of the woods is Philadelphia,(it may be called Philadelphia Light Cream Cheese, but it's really Neufchatel). Oh, and it's half the fat of the regular -- or twice as much for the same amount of fat!!
On the salt topic: I've had to cut way back on salt these days, and I noticed a couple of things. First, that kosher salt is indeed less salty tasting, more subtle, maybe? Second, that I cut the amount of salt I use to literally about 25-30 grains sprinkled in my hand, then added to whatever -- and it tastes as salty as many times more used to.
So, to answer the original question, yes, once you get used to cutting way back on salt, you will be much happier with much less. At least IMNSHO.

The headache turned out to be a migraine after all. It's like spending time in a parallel universe. Oddly, I rather like the post-migraine slightly-spaced-out feeling. Shame one has to spend hours lying in a darkened room, shaking and vomiting to get there. A bit like like having the hangover *before* being drunk. Actually, thinking about it, it's *exactly* like having the hangover before being drunk.
Monday tomorrow. Another day, another dolour.

Just housecleaned my computer. All defragged and tidy. I wish I could work up the same concern for the rest of my house.

Very apt description . I don't like it either...

Footinooti sounds quite alright! Amy, post 1871 tried to hide as well when I passed by - so thanks for pointing it out.
One day when I'm more awake, I'll try to do a wee comment on cheeses, low fat or not. We've got a lot of knowledge about it in the company as we should, being a leading supplier to dairies. Did you know that it takes about 16 liters of milk to do 1 kg of (real) parmesan?
And as for cheese being insulted - we were tasting some industrial-type-like cheddar at work one day. My boss, who is a) French and b) very much a cheese aficionado, looked at it and said: "That's not cheese. That's merely food!"
'night!

sc, I wouldn't touch the stuff with a 10 foot pole! I did not mean to imply the lack of spray cheese is a bad thing. Nope, no way, never, not me!
Are we clear on that?

Well, the arm is still attached. Strange, but attached.
Spray cheese does serve one purpose. It can be used to train dogs. I feel sorry for the dogs, though.

Spray cheese? Sounds like a convenient food for us college bachelors. We're not picky in my apartment.
