Wales is a beautiful country. It's just that it's people are an acquired taste........which I've yet to acquire !!

My paycheck arrived the day before the meeting, far too late to make arrangements to stay over in Santa Fe. The state legislature has the shortest duration of any in the country, about 6 weeks. During that time, you don't have a hope in blazes of finding a room without advance reservation.

Stuff to do! See you later...

I don't think I've met any Welsh people.
Oh dear, Kelli. I hope she doesn't require too many stitches. And that your leg gets better in a hurry.

I like Wales a lot.
I've been covering for an unwell person at our theology branch library this afternoon. Very quiet, but greatly livened up by the appearance of a tourist who came in to ask "Are there any ancient books in here?"
Sadly, the answer is no, as this is a silly little library in a converted flat above a coffee shop! The ancient books are kept in a store.

No3 safely seen off the premises and should have been in the air for about 30 mins on his way to Madrid for the connection to Santiago. And I didn't

I'm part Welsh, among other things.

for Teuchter.
I don't really dislike the Welsh, they just make me feel nervous. There's nothing to stop hoards of the blue-painted buggers from rampaging across the Severn Bridge and up the Valley to where I used to live.
Flippancy aside, I have yet to meet a Welsh-person whom one could not describe as narrow-minded. You can take the bach out of the chapel, but you cannot take the chapel out of the bach. I admit that not all Welsh are narrow minded, but I haven't yet met one who isn't.
This kind of nervous wariness is common in the March Counties.

No dice on fixing the furnace today. The part will be sometime tomorrow. With luck it will actually be the right part and will be easy to install and I'll be able to open on Wednesday morning as usual.
Teuchter, I'm glad No3 is on his way. You and Mr. Teuchter can find ways to amuse yourselves while he's gone.

Proof positive that Not-Oregano is bad for your memory - I've just found some in a table drawer, and have NO recollection of when or how I might have acquired it.

Lil, the dirt repellant is actually an experimental hover-human stuff that repels not only dirt, but the stuff of human skin, thus causing anything it's sprayed to be turned into a low-G space that...
Yeah, sure, feel free to use it.
Re: the Bush/Jesus/Bomb picture
I was confused. I wasn't offended, as I've seen far more offensive depictions of Jesus scattered across the Internet. I didn't find it funny, really, as it's naturally presenting a viewpoint I don't entirely agree with, and it's not really very subtle so I can't give it points there. I just didn't really see the point (unless the point truly was to make me angry, in which case it failed anyway, so I still don't see the point).

GDZ, I take it you were not too pleased with the outcome of the Super Bowl?
Are you a Denver fan? Or perhaps one of our northern neighbors.
I am a Chiefs fan, myself. I keep hoping each year.........
But you must admit, it was a pretty good game.

I met a nice Welshwoman in Leeds. She was from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch and I think she got a bit fed up of people getting her to say "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch".
The people in Holyhead seemed quite nice, too, though I wasn't there for very long.
I'm not going to get too excited about this Rugby victory for fear that we'll just lose the rest. Don't get me wrong, I hope we won't, but one match does not a grand slam make.
Seems there's a 40th anniversary deluxe edition of the Nuclear War game out. Kind of tempting, especially as the War on Terror game isn't even in production yet.
