So sorry to hear about your Grandpa, Z - much love to you and your family.
All my money goes into my credit union account, which I then have to extract whenever I want some. I make it as hard as possible to access my money. I find this works pretty well for saving money, but paying bills could be a bit easier - I have to get checks for every bill from the credit union, as they don't have a checking account system set up.
I've thought about doing a direct debit for my mortgage payments, but I've avoided it because then I'd have to get a real bank account, and that just smacks too much of real life.
Fudge is a vitamin. If you don't get enough of it, you get fudgicitis.
I remember my first real hot fudge sundae. It was a dish of plain vanilla ice cream, with a small metal pitcher of piping hot fudge to pour on top. It was probably the best chocolate experience I've ever had. I've never had anything that good since.

Been a while since I've had fudge. It doesn't sound appealing right now. Which is strange, as I like fudge.

Is there an LED missing? Seven hours since the last post??
I purchased a box of chocolate fudge ripple brownie frozen yogurt from the Schwan guy yesterday. Cille and I will break into it tonight.
And this morning is a post office gig.

Lil, do you have a flak jacket?
We had a weak arctic front move through our area yesterday. It was just 23ºF this morning. And there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow. Just enough to tease us, apparently. An inch or less.
My cousin has a panther who visits his property. He said it is about as tall as a German Shepherd - a bit longer, though. He said it's a beautiful creature. He has seen the tracks off and on for weeks, but just got a look at it yesterday. It is common to find bobcats around here, but this is unusual. I hope he's able to get a photo of it.
It's February which means I have to start lining up my summer reading programs. "Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales". (Or maybe it's Tails.) I'm sure someone thinks that's really clever. Last week when I went to our director's meeting - fab cake by the way - one of our members was all bouncy and excited about summer reading. I wanted to smack her. I am neither bouncy nor excited. I just want it to go away. I've planned so many kids programs for so many years that the well of enthusiasm is running dry.
The planning manual this year is boring and uninspiring. People are just raving about it. Last year's manual was actually helpful. The clip art this year is good but the programing and craft ideas are just a load of recycled hooha. Anyway, I'll need to find inspiration elsewhere.
Hey, if we could catch the panther........
OK. So far I'm rounding up unusual pets (ho hum) and planning a section on repopulating the forests with native wildlife. We've been extremely successful reintroducing elk to the Mark Twain National Forest.
I'm off to the farm supply store to buy onion plants for my garden then must go to work.

Are the onion plants for the summer reading as well? I don't think onions have paws, claws, scales or tails, and I can't think of any books about them...
Some of my favourite books as a child were animal-based. Beatrix Potter, Colin Dann and Brian Jacques. They've lost their appeal now, although I am looking forward to sharing Beatrix Potter with the next generation of owls.
I picked up new glasses today. They are blue rectangular things very different to anyhting I've worn before.
*David tries to show his glasses off to everyone, but finds this is difficult inside the beanbag. He determines to find a way out of it.*

An early evening Baggers.
Today I have to go luggage shopping as I am taking quite a bit more things back with me than I arrived with. I am also on the hunt for a pair of Doc Martens. My shoes have worn out and I want boots. Apparently no one has UK15/US16 Docs. This is really weird as Utah is the largest per capita consumers of the products. I've never had this much trouble finding a pair.

It is still morning here. I am looking forward to evening however, since our hvac system is once again being recalcitrant and it's only 55ºF/12.78ºC in my office at the moment. I'd like to go home and get warm.
I have an emergency call into the hvac people, but the liklihood of them showing up on a Saturday is slim.
David the onions are not for summer reading. Unless I can come up with an animal that eats, plants, sleeps in or otherwise interacts with onions in some way. They are to plant in my veggie patch.

I wish my workplace would get as warm as 12 degrees occasionally.
Our work syndicate got some numbers on Friday's Euro Lottery. Let's see, what's nine euro shared between 27 of us?

Lady C. rushes in, looks around and flops in the nearest chair--being careful to avoid the beanbags, because she isn't sure which one David is in.
I am not a happy camper at this time. We just got back from town. Had to make a run to buy a new hot water heater. Ours sprung a leak and thoroughly soaked the family room floor last night. Rather than have it leak all night long, Lord C. shut off the water. He is now banging around on the pipes in the basement trying to see just what fittings he will need to install the new one. The good news is, hot water heaters are not extremely expensive if you don't have to have them installed. The bad news is: I need a shower!

Hypatia- have you tried local wildlife rescue orgs yet? Some of them might have a few critters that they have socialized to be "animal ambassadors." When I was in elementary school, they used to bring around birds of prey, rat snakes, and maybe a racoon or de-scented skunk.
My grandma isn't doing well- they took her into the hospital. I wrote a journal on it if you want the gory details, but I think the time's coming soon when I'm going to have to go home.
