To Richard, he was much too young.
FG, perhaps you were walking too close to the definition of slander with that comment about the actress.
Jade, that posting is the only one that researcher has made so far. Very curious.
Sporky, thank goodness your mother wasn't in the car.
*Pretty pleased she remembered so much backlog.*

Sorry for returning to an old subject, but I was really amazed to hear that salmonella all chickens and all eggs have salmonella</quote> since I've never heard any warning about salmonella in/on eggs in Sweden, and so decided to do some research...
...and the regulations in Sweden are pretty tough, according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture:
-There is less than 1% of salmonella in cattle, pigs and fowl in Sweden.
- For all farms with more than 200 chicken the salmonella tests are compulsary
- For farms with less than 200 chicken the salmonella tests are voluntary
- If salmonella is discovered, all the chicken are disposed of, and the space where they have been kept and all equipment used are disinfected
- In the year 2001 (if my statistics are correct) only 2 farms were discovered to have salmonella infected chicken, and it was the first time for almost 40 years that this specific type of salmonella had been found in Sweden
...so there are obviously ways to fight salmonella, but I guess it requires, as always, money, time and effort.

Welcome to Lil's Atelier, Galen - I trust you have checked some of the backlog or read the entry this conversation belongs to, so that you know what you are getting involved with?

I believe it was the use of "shooting up heroin" that got it moderated. Maybe the bbc thinks us Americans are trying to push drugs on users? I remember me using "snort a line" got my post moderated and removed completely, though I did not say what I snorted (a pixie stick, if you must know)

I would be just like it, if in a fit of madness the towers did call the new skin orchid, just to scare us all.

WM and Sporky, you are correct. According to a series of e-mails from the Beeb it was removed at first because it was considered to be libelous. It was reinstated because someone decided that I was referring to the fact that Ms. Weisz "looked ill"--not that she uses illegal substances. Which is what I meant in the first place. Flippancy? Guilty as charged.

Morning all. Talking about medical matters. Its been a busy morning here in Middle Earth. I've had the 6-monthly chest Xrays, visited the library and its still only 10am. Best I have a little lie down in the morning sun and read the newspaper.

Sun? *decides not to comment further on that*
I've done this before, and I apologize beforehand, but if any of you would happen to have the time to have a look at my Astrid Lindgren entry and leave comments, it would be much appreciated:

Amy I've tried the upper case thing and everything! However, it is likely to be me that's doing something wrong, rather than hootoo. Perhpas I will try just putting in the current conversation thread!
FG, I agree with you about Rachel and really can't see what H sees in her, but had better not critise his taste too much in case it back fires!
Welcome Galen, I do hope the roof is holding up

Lil: I meant ragging me, but I think racking worked ratherbwell, because I felt as though she was ringing me out to dry.
Spork: No, she/he/is just had a number, and she signed her name as Mara Jade, which really really ticked me off to no end because /then/ not only was she insulting me, but she was imping.
And for the record, Orchid is /evil/ and must be avoided /at all costs/.
...Andyway. yes, the next Mummy movie in the series is going to be called "The Scorpion King" chronicaling the story of that guy The Rock's character from "The Mummy Returns." Sadly, it doesn't look all that promising.
Now, The COunt of MOnte Christo, that looks good.
*shameless pluggage*
Look for my review on it next week in the post. (Not this comming post, but the one after.)
This week I'm reviewing Steve Odekerk's "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist."

Hullo, all!
I am playing with HTML just now, T, and smoothing out the last of the bumps in my bedraggled RL. Still around though.
