*getting confused, points at herself and laughs manically*
Okay, I read the backlog about soap operas, and I think I have a bona fide one on my hands.
THE SORDID TALE: My friend's boyfriend of three years broke up with her a month ago, called her every day to remind her that his breaking up with her was all her fault, because she is such a terrible person, and then, shows up at work everyday to tell her how much he loves her. Yesterday, he went to her house, and said, I love you but leave me alone this weekend, because I met this woman who can really help my ex-wife's career, and I am spending the weekend with this woman. Does this confuse anyone, because it sure confuses me! I mean really. And we are not talking about teenagers here
<>.
Of course, as her friend, I am being supportive, but I am about to just throw my hands in the air and be quit of the whole thing. But it reminds me just how sane MY life really is!

If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?!

There are soap operas and soap operas. I could stand it if my life turned into, I dunno, the Young and the Restless, or something. I mean, the cheesy dialogue would get me down, but it wouldn't be like being stuck in Eastenders, or, god defend me, Corrination Street. And If I were in Neighbours, it would at least be warm.
*finds it actually unsettling to be pointed at and laughed at, virtual reality or no virtual reality *

Oh MR, that is just weird behaviour in your friend's ex. In a soap, everybody would complain it went too far in terms of ubelievableness and point at it and laugh.

Well, according to the latest census information, approximately 6 Billion People. Of course, if I couldn't laugh at myself, I wouldn't give me permission to do this:
*Points at MR and laughs*
Oh, and yeah, teens are hard-wired for melodrama. Such a shame that people can reprogram themselves out of it. Life is more fun when people decide to overact.
Oh, and about this one person who keeps bothering the one who isn't his girlfriend, I can't really say for sure, but while he believes that he is right, his subconcious believes that he was wrong on at least a few points, so he keeps showing up, giving himself the chance to apologize for whatever it was that he did, but he doesn't take it, because he believes himself to be right. That last statement sounds like a release form, and that he wants to allow himself to move on, even though he probably won't.
Or not. I've not looked at my notes from Psychology class in quite some time, now.

*PCT3 spreads out his arms, and a number of temporary clones appear next to him on either side out of thin air.*
*They all point at someone different and laugh.*
*The room shakes a bit.*
*They presently vanish, after running out of breath.*
Right.
No worries MR, I know we're all set up for that!
*Is confused by B-17's statement about backshift.*

Keep at it and you'll make it B17. You are still coming down for the meet aren't you?

Being wired for melodrama isn't fun if you're the person who has to pick up the pieces, clear up the mess and try and restore peace, honour and pride... *groan*
Whats up B17?

Confusion Chris? Not to worry. I am on my last backshift (4pm to 11pm) because I am on restweek next week, and then I go onto Nightshift, but on Tuesday, (it's now official) we are being forced onto 12 hour shifts. That means there is only dayshift and nightshift. 7 til 7. *sigh* Still, it might be ok, I just don't know. it's been so long since I last did them, and at least I am only on for a few days at a time. 4days dayshift 2 off, 3 nights nightshift 2 off, 3 days dayshift 2 off, 4 nights nightshift, 8 off. So I still get a rest week. That equates to 14 days on in every 28, a total of approx 39 hours a week (4 more than currently, but still less than the EU max.)
Oh and Phil, yes I am. Train is booked. Will be in touch with you on monday if that's ok.
*points a finger at self and smirks briefly* That's about all I can manage just now. It's been a busy night.

Thanks for the advice Ming, it's just that I'm not used to having skin reaction to horses - it's usually enough for me to take a breath...
Where's Timory?
And where's Styx?!

Well, sure it's not good to be the one to clean up, which is why the melodramatic must learn to clean up for themselves. I mean, I would take offense to the slightest thing and then destroy that thing in good fun, but I'd pay for it later. Of course, I'm also the person who's trying to hire people to follow me around, constantly carrying instruments, so that I can have back up singers and a band whenever there's a need to break into song, so I'm probably not the most mentally stable.

Affy, dearest, I do believe you are living in an episode of "Fame" (reference point: a bad 80's US tv show involving lots of good looking actors playing artistic students). But frankly, I wouldn't mind every now and again having a backup band in everyday life.
No, the melodrama hasn't ended. I spent the afternoon with my friend, and just about lost it. I finally looked at her and asked her if she was God, because she seemed to be responsible for every bad decision the man had ever made (including choosing, before he met her, not to move to Oregon for a well-paying but insanely stressful job). I don't know...Marv, you live behind the Zion Curtain...are all women raised in Mormon households trained to believe they are nothing without a man, even a really bad one? Geez.
But on to much more fun things...
*points at Affy and gasps!*

While I cannot say for sure about the mental state of the avarage mormon female (having never been mormon, or female for that matter) I can say that all one of my serious relationships with LDS girls have been nothing but nightmares. They all seem to have to be with someone. I know very few LDS girls my age, they either are dating or married with three+ kids.
