Glad this is the place. Is Gary around? He's the one who pointed me here, but I don't see him.
P.S. I use the delete key quite a bit myself.

Hello Arlecchio! Glad you found the place. I left a message on your home page a few minutes ago, but I hadn't expected you here so soon. Here on h2g2, I'm known as Garius, so the "Gary" might have confused some.
Congratulations Titania! It seems that this is a lucky forum for getting jobs, with Phil just landing a new one too. Perhaps B-17 will get lucky too.

Hullo all!
Well, it was an emotionally up and down weekend, but there were more ups than downs - fortunately.
We did not get the house. They wanted us to have a possession date of June 30, which was just impossible given not only the work we wanted to get done on the house but also all the stuff we have to move. My heart is slightly broken, but I know that we will find a place just as good if not better. And if I keep telling myself that maybe I'll start to believe it...
To make up for this, the Avalanche - my favorite hockey team - won the Stanley Cup against all odds. (I haven't read the backlog, but I'm fairly certain that Marv has already mentioned this. ) I took yesterday off and went to the victory parade to get over my disappointment over the whole house thing. It worked to a certain extent and I had an absolutely luverly day!
Hope everyone else had a good weekend. Hello to all new folk. And now I am off to the backlog again...

Good day to you, Arlecchino! Always good to see new people around here.
Nothing wrong with the old people, you understand.
Delete keys have to be the most useful functions on a keyboard. Deleting e-mails is just a start: you wait till you have to delete whole halves of essays and stories!

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear about the house, G7. I'm sure you'll find the right house soon enough, now you know what to do.
*Is currently listening to the two Marvin the Paranoid Android songs he's /finally/ got his hands on. MP3 format, not vinyl. *

Arlecchino, welcome. That name smacks of comedia del arte (lost momentarily in spelling hell), but closer than that I don't know the reference. Any friend of Garius Lupus is a friend of all of us, and that includes the robots, parrots and sloths.
Shoot! Where has Violets gone now? I am just realising I haven't seen her since the blue powder frenzy, after which we all went off to the beach.
Munchkin, the theme from The Third Man has whimsy, and so do you. Go down to the BOF Inn and tell them that, if anybody questions your credentials.

Gw7en, what a shame about the house. But don't worry; you'll see something else and your imagination will grow into it.

Thanks to everyone for their support. I've already got a new list of houses from the realtor to look at. Who knows, maybe one of them will be The One.
Lil, just got to the part about the flooding. It really probably is a good thing that you aren't leaving as soon as you had planned. I saw on the news this morning that the storms are heading towards FL today though. Keep dry!

Did I say say there were two songs just then? I meant /four/!
I had to scour the Internet to find them all, so I've just composed a page I'm currently uploading to The Big C Domain with links to all the MP3 files for download. Anyone who doesn't have these songs has /got/ to hear them!
Anyway, I'm off. My last ever French exams tomorrow!

Hello, all. Welcome Arlecchino (spelling on that one will boggle me!). Marv, I do hope you're ear is better. Kaleah misses you....
Yet another gray and rainy day. So far, no flooding, but who knows? Lil, I guess its either feast or famine in FL...no rain for 8 months, and then way too much.

Wow! Lot's of welcomes! And the famous Lil knows something about me, it seems. *reading from a dusty old book on the aformentioned Commedia dell'Arte*
They name "Has an enduring, magical power, a testimony perhaps to the mystery of its orgin. Theories include extreme suggestions, for example that he takes his name from a water-bird with irregular patches of diver colour called 'harle' or 'herle'. But in Italian 'ino' is diminutive and all Arlecchino's younger brothers have a similar ending to their name: Fritellino ('little brother'), Trivellino ('little agile one')... so it is likely his name means simply Hellechino ('little devil'). Dante refers to a devil by the name of Ellechino."
Also I happen to know that Alrecchino gave rise to the well known style of clown called a Harlequin, who, like the original dresses in motley, and that character in turn has been spun off into characters in as diverse mediums as comic books (Batman) and detective novels (Agatha Christie's "The Mysterious Mr. Quinn")
*Is happy to have found someone who knows something about his orgins*

Sea, the Avalanche are in Denver Colorado. The AHL or IHL may have teams in those other states however. The newest team in teh NHL is in Colombus OH, the Bluejackets.
Montana, I did not know it was your b-day. I miss the little devil too. She is a precocious little feline.
