Red, as much as I liked the little devil I just do not know that I have the time and energy to raise a new kitten. But it is an adoreable little bugger.
Well the Doc says that I have an ear infection and I am on a regimine of antibiotics and ear drops. Blood test pending some other info. OP there is a real chance that I might have to join the ranks of Other People as well. I am at very high risk. I will find out in a little over a week.
I was able to watch part of the victory parade for the Avalanche today before my doctor visit. I know that G7 was there to witness the festivities. Looks like it was a great time.
See Y'all on the morrow.

Oh dear I hope that the blood tests are OK.
The antibiotics should clear your ear, if not just go back for some more!

*whirling in, in a dance of pure joy*
I got the job! I got the job! A new job, with salary increased by 10%, 2,5 hrs less work each week, an extra week of vacation, and my own office - wow, never had that before! Beginning on September 1st...
No more book-keeping deadlines - yippieeeee!!!

Is that the theme from The Third Man?
Titania, congratulations! Especially about the freedom from deadlines. When did you teach Mindspring to waltz?
Chris, could you read that to me again about the French-Swiss dialect? Did you say you were going back to school in Switzerland and I missed the post?
I'm off to the school to initialise data today. I may be some time.
Tea please, Matina? Thanks. I started playing Myst III last night. Jeez, wow! My first game in a continuous 3D environment. I'm deep into the first puzzle, trying to get my bearings and admiring the graphics.

*slows down*
After a course I took (work-related) I felt small wheels starting to turn in my brain, wheels that had been standing still for such a long time...
...and then it was as if someone was butting me in the back, trying to tell me it was time for the next step in my career...
...and it kept pushing, and pushing, and I was growing more and more frustrated, not knowing in which direction I should take the step...
...and then, when I read the ad for this job, it felt like 'Yes! Of course! That's it!'
...and the spooky thing is that when I went to the final interview this morning, I had figured out a salary suggestion, allowing me a bit of margin to negotiate - and before I get the chance to mention it, my boss-to-be suggests exactly that sum! I didn't have the guts to negotiate any further, but accepted it right away...
Matina, could you bring us a lot of Ys, please?
*gets champagne bottle from fridge, and starts pouring s*
Cheers!

It is indeed the theme to the Third Man! What made you guess that? A film I have not seen in ages, which I really should buy.

*sips *
...got it on video, like it...
What exactly where you referring to, Munchkin - it was a while since I last watched it?

The soundtrack, its played on a zither and is rather cool. I'm generally feeling like I should have said soundtrack at the moment for various reasons. Sadly none of them involve me being Orson Welles but hey ho

Yeah, congrats Titania! Top news, that!
Heheh, don't worry Lil: I was just joking about the dialect. I said I'd finished with English for the rest of my life, and OP asked what I was therefore going to speak.
Marv, I do hope the blood tests prove alright...

Does anyone have any cures for work? I just got in and read through 500+ emails.

Am I in the right place? I was pointed here by someone I met on a message board in the great expanse of the internet (his name was Gary). I was to look for a place known as "Lil's".

Oh and Marv, the best way I find of dealing with that kind of email volume is copious use of the delete feature
