If it will make you feel better, Lil, I Yiked! my own home page. And the resulting moderation is not "pending" either. Your post may come back, with any luck intact.

Bah. I dislike tourists of any nationality. Always littering, clicking pictures, acting like the world is on display. The worst of humanity is brought out in them. They can find ways to be annoying without regards to another person's feelings, even within their own country. The Amish population, for instance, is never left alone. They just want to peacefully spend time farming and living life as they see it. While I don't agree with some of their views, I see no reason to show up, make fun of them, verbally and physically abuse them,...tourists are peaceful Nazis.
Of course, the only group more thoughtless than tourists would be Moderators. Grrr. I'm sorry Lil, I've not been offering support in your recent trials, I've always been extremely pressed for time IRL. I've got a minute now. I'll spend it ranting at the Mods.
BTW, as for the Moderator Voodoo Dolls, those were invented by Garius Lupus for Crater Toys. Crater Toys no longer sells them (I felt uncomfortable even pretending to sell them. For religious reasons), but I believe that Garius will still send them to you via Email (that's what he did when you purchased one at Crater Toys). I'm sorely attempted to get one, though, just to imagine all of the bad things that I could do to it.

I agree with Montana on those points.

*yawn*
Tonight is another chamomile night, I'm afraid. Would you like some lil? This batch is from last year's harvest... I added some mint and a bit of cumin; you'd be surprised what cumin can do for tea.

Lil's posting is back now... does anyway know if postings are put under moderation manually or automatically - do they have a device that puts all postings with unknown expressions 'on hold' until a Moderator has time to check it?

Now that does not seem worth moderating. I wonder if they dropped a word or phrase like the last time?
I believe the process is entirely manual, with people reading each post within an hour of it being posted,
/* waves to moderator */
making an initial decision whether to yank it or not, then having that decision reviewed within a period of a few days.
The fact that it's all done manually is why posting in nonEnglish is currently nonAllowed. They don't have the people to do the reading yet.

If someone were to repost Lil's message, word for word, in an entirely different forum, I wonder if it would also get removed. Hmmm....

Has someone actively complained about Lil's messages being yanked. While TPTB are being snowed under with spurious complaints about moderation, I feel that this incident should be brought to their attention. I can see no reason why that one should have been pulled.

Well it wasn't quite as bad as I thought. Still need to go back and get the technical questions as that person wasn't there today (off sick).

And I'll not have to wear the suit either for that one
Casual dress codes, don't you just love them.
