h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Name Dropper collapses to the ground, and pulls himself up. He can see a few cracks in his mystical armor and grimaces*

Well, Mind Nuke probably wouldn't be incredibly more effective than Mind Blade, so....Turn Tundra!

*An incredibly frigid environment spreads out from Name Dropper causing a mild damage (mild as in "probably won't affect either Corrigible or Name Dropper in the least, but if you think it would then go ahead"), snow on the ground, and icicles on the ceiling. Name Dropper spots Corrigible's foot prints in the snow, and tries to focus on any "air clouds" made visible by the frigid environment*

[These are plainly visible. However, around them, there's suddenly a ring of greenish-golden spheres with some sort of red ... something inside them surrounding it, and then Corrigible appears in a "spellcasting" pose just long enough to vanish again. Then the ground where he was standing erupts, and a large, orange, demonic monster wearing shorts that appear to be on fire appears.]

[Ifrit] Arrrrghh! Not a FROZEN place! [sees Name Dropper] Oh-HO!

[He uses Meteor Strike, which consists of a large ball of dark fire-elemental energy that doesn't hurt that much, but it forces the target back a bit if it hits, giving Ifrit another turn.]

*Name Dropper is hit, because he wanted to write down the name of that move for later usage*

[Ifrit] All righty then!

[[Flare]]

[Ifrit calls forth a gigantic blast of fire and sends it at Name Dropper. It might melt part of the scenery, too.]

*Name Dropper sees the gigantic blast of fire coming his way, and does what anyone with his powers would do*

Name Dropper-Hiryu Shoten Ha!

*With just a punch aimed at the fire blast, the Dragon's Heaven Blast (or whatever it's called, too tired to look it up) explodes in Ifrit's direction*

[Ifrit] Oh sh--

[Ifrit is knocked back a bit. However, that attack filled up his Overdrive meter.]

[Ifrit] All righty then!

[[Hellfire and Burnination]]

[Ifrit rises up into the air, surrounded by flame, and then dives forward, surrounded by a huge blast of fire that starts to fill up the room.]

Name Dropper-Form of....Tidal Wave!

*A La the Wonder Twins, Name Dropper transforms into a gigantic wave of water that splashes throgh the fire towards Ifrit*

[Ifrit] I should've waited before saying "OH SH--"

[Ifrit gets knocked back by the water, then collapses on his back, disintegrating in a cloud of pyreflies. Corrigible fades into view, hovering over the water, which he casts Bolt3 on.]

*The water glows brightly, and quickly reverts into a screaming Name Dropper*

Name Dropper-Funny....that doesn't happen to the Wonder Twins too often....SHAZAM!

*A bolt of lightning appears from nowhere, and strikes Name Dropper. He looks exactly the same, except that he is now wearing a red jump suit with the image of a lightning bolt on it*

[Corrigible] Oh, the Flash, are you? [arms both blades of lightsaber] What're ya gonna do, outrun me to death?

Okay, sorry. It's just....



Okay, really, though. The Flash? You connect "Shazam!" with The Flash? And here I thought you knew super heroes.

*A bolt of lightning seemingly comes from nowhere, heading straight for Corrigible*

Have I ever /claimed/ to know my superheroes?


[Corrigible raises his lightsaber, deflecting the bolt towards Name Dropper]

[Corrigible] You know, that's not how lightning works. It actually starts /up/ from where it strikes. But let's see if Final Fantasy X physics applies here.

[[Watera]]

[A medium-sized burst of water forms around Name Dropper and attempts to smash him inamongst itself.]

*Name Dropper is not crushed*

Name Dropper-Strength of Hercules....

[Corrigible] Strength of Hercules? Let's see ... what's Guts Man weak against ... Ah, Hyper Bombs! Damn, don't have any explosives ... ah what the heck. [throws more Sith Lightning at Name Dropper]

*Name Dropper takes the blasts, and only staggers a bit. He flies through the air at Corrigible at incredible speed, attempting to punch him*

Name Dropper-Captain Marvel's the only mortal who can take Superman hand to hand, ya know. I think he can take you as well.

[Corrigible gets knocked back]

[Corrigible] Oof! ... Ugh ... [under breath, but probably audible enough for Name Dropper to hear] Hoo boy ... if he uses even the Pokemon move Explosion, I'll be out of /this/ fight ...

*Name Dropper grins*

Name Dropper-Ah, is that so, eh? EXPLOSION!


You'd think Name Dropper would be more clever than that, wouldn't ya?


*He explodes near Yar, blowing himself to the opposite end of the room where he slams into a wall, the Marvel crest no longer on his chest*

Let's see ... taking into account the low probability of Explosion's success in actually /hitting/ its target (I'm pretty sure) ... and Corrigible's agility ... *rolls 20-sided die and gets a 6*


[Corrigible, who definitely isn't Yar (the one is dressed in a Darth Vader outfit with a tie, and the other is currently dressed in a Red Wizard outfit with a red jacket. It's important not to get them mixed up), manages to jump back and avoid the blast.]

[Corrigible] HAW-HAW! So ... now where to ...

*Name Dropper slowly lifts himself up and glares at YK*

Name Dropper-Okay, that was mean....but so's this. RESTORATION!

*The spell from The Bard's Tale causes all injuries and handicaps on Name Dropper to vanish, putting him back into pristine condition*

[Corrigible] I can, too! Force field mode!

[He puts a force field (no, not using the Force) around his lightsaber, so that it doesn't actutally cut, it merely whacks.]

[Corrigible] Afro Autopsy!

[He charges straight at ND, and swings his lightsaber. If he hits ... well, just post that it /does/ hit, and I'll post the highly unusual occurrence that happens next. ]
