Great Gay Game
Mikeo the gregarious Posted Oct 24, 2003
I never had any idea Iris Murdoch was LGBT - was she really?! And what did her husband have to say about that?

Brian Paddick (Any relation to Hugh?)
Sir Alec Guinness
George from Rainbow (Not sure this counts, but it makes up my three for this post and nobody has said him yet)

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the name, I stole it from one of Kenny Everet's characters. Of the same name. But I found it so incredibly funny I had to plagiarise it really.
Can I get an adjudiaction on George?
Getting sillier...

Running totals...
Speckly - 35
Mort - 26 (or 29 if you count like a lizard!)
Fatty - 23
Mikeo - 12
Cupid - 7
KerrAvon - 4
St Demon Drawer - 2
Mandagora - 1
127 names on the list so far. That means 2 points have gone astray somewhere. If someone would like to check my adding up...counting is not a great talent of this fish.

Noddy eh? Makes you wonder about big ears...
I'm not sure that should count, as Noddy is a fictional character created by Enid Blyton, whereas George is real. He is! I've seen him on TV! Oh, Geoffrey... He's the only gay icon I have a poster of, which probably says more about me than it does about anything else...
Milo from The Tweenies? Sam Gamgee from Lord of the Rings? Where will it end?
Okay, I am just being silly now.

Now, I dunno if this one is true, but I did hear it from a guy at an LGB social meeting and no one contradicted him.
Wes from Radio 1 (the guy who does the Chart Show on Sundays - the webpages certainly don't even attempt to deny it!)
There may also be another Radio 1 DJ who's gay, but I can't remember his name now!

After having read the last few posts, I'd like to clarify, I wasn't inferring that Hans Christian Anderson was a Raio DJ. Allthough you never know...

I dispute that Adolf Hitler was LGBT. The head of the SA, Ernst Roehm, was gay and Hermann Goering was believed to cross-dress, but no one who knew Hitler ever thought he did anything like that. He did form close friendships with some of his followers, including his architect and Minister for Munitions Albert Speer, but these (according to several biographers) never became sexual relationships.
I don't dispute Danny La Rue, though!
BTW, my last submission should have been Wes Butters (from Radio 1) - the guy who does the Top 40 chart show on Sundays.

dispute acknowledged!
I think he is often portrayed as having tendencies and even acting upon it, in many various programmes etc Which is why i said him, but i bow to greater historical accuracy if you have

Sorry, I'm too lazy to read the backlog - has anybody mentioned Simon Amstell off Popworld?
