*Picks up the Jar from under the radiator pipes*
What does this taste like?
*Begins to unscrew the lid*

Oh, hello Lil. Didn't see you over there in the corner. Watcha got there?
Erm... *glances at the jam-crazed children*
Shade's Tool Room
ShadeTheif Posted Aug 1, 2004
*takes the jar and dips a finger in to taste the jam*
Hmmm, some sort of berry, probably gooseberry, and another fishy taste that I can't identify...
It's the Gooseberry and Mackerel Jam! Lil, you're a genius! We're saved Trin!
*Lobs the jar of jam grenade-like at the children. It shatters on the floor just in front of the growing mob, splattering the ranks with Gooseberry and Mackerel pulp. The children recoil at the smell, and then flee in terror.

Hurrah! Nice throw!
In the end, it's probably better off being put to some noble use - the collector would only have wanted to put it in some bank vault somewhere.

ShadeTheif Posted Aug 1, 2004
Yeah, you're probably right.
Did Vestie get to rub any of this on his vest? Cause I'll save some when I clean this up if he didn't.
You should probably hide that raspberry jam somewhere else (like in Hillary's tent) if you don't want them to come back.
Shade's Tool Room
Trin Tragula Posted Aug 2, 2004
I'm sure Vestie would treasure it!
(Not sure about Hilary's tent - jam tends to go 'missing' quite quickly in there. Under the lid of the piano perhaps)

Actually, I think it should be safe anywhere as long as you store it in a airtight container to keep the raspberry smell in and put a little dab of this jam on top.
I'll ask Footbacon if I can put some in a jar and hang it over the entrance to ward off further attacks.

You know, now that the fridge is up and running again and now that the jam has been recovered, I can't help feeling we've forgotten something ...
About jam deterrence No, that's not it ...
About saving some for Vestie No, not that either ...
Weren't we going to offer one of Arisz's s as a reward? Hasn't the jam been recovered anyway? Doesn't that mean that we still have ...
A !

Trin Tragula Posted Aug 5, 2004
Oh, I don't think we want to bring those two into the whole thing ...
That bear will have the quicker than I can *say* '<cheesecake'
Shade's Tool Room
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Aug 5, 2004
its ok we can all have some theres plenty to go 'round!
*hands a slice to trin first*
do you think hilary would like some?
Shade's Tool Room
Trin Tragula Posted Aug 5, 2004
I think Hilary would probably like to eat until he or she can't walk. But a slice would certainly do, wouldn't it Hilary?
Grrrr
As for me *chomp* oo, fabbo!

*enters room in football style - flat on belly skidding across the floor after scoring a goal pose, mopping up much of the jammy residue on vest and handling a serious sized piece of into gob in one fluid movement.*
I'm back. Point me at the JCC.
*finger hovers over fishy jam stain.*
