Ah - marbles - I thought I'd lost them!

[Protoman] Wait ... with my sense of direction, I can tell where we are ... Still, we'd probably better leave a marble here and there. I never like these Twisty Mazes of Passages, All Alike.

Have I mentioned how much I hate tunnels? I have these dreams where the tunnels get smaller and smaller... *tries not to hyperventilate, hoping the pill's effects will kick in soon*

[Protoman] [placing a hand on Lil's shoulder] Relax.

*Leads the way through many ducts, which indeed get slightly smaller as the group progresses. Rounds a corner and finds...

A pile of leaves.*

Oh, um, well maybe we could just TRY the more direct route.

*Turns to the left*

[Protoman] ..... I'll wait here. Roll, you transmit your course, and if you make it, I'll follow.

[Roll] Great idea. [follows GL]

*Affy moves with the group, wondering why on Earth they wanted to get money back from the contractor for all of the extra ducts*

I'm not feeling claustrophic, but my back hurts.

*having had enough of tunnels growing lower and lower and narrower and narrower in RL, decides to wait too*

Want to play a game of marbles, Lil?

*Rounds a corner and sees a grate ahead, with a pulsing light shining through. Is about to yell back down the ducts that he's found the way, but catches himself before stupidly giving up the element of surprise.*


Pass the word. We've found the right place.


*Unlocks the grate and slowly swings it open, hoping the hinges don't squeek.*

Ripe lace? What ripe lace?

[Protoman] [with almost robotic prescision] The -- right -- place.

I didn't know we were looking for rice paste.

/* Holds Zeppo back from charging through the grate. Zeppo is still convinced we are looking for ducks. */

[Protoman sets his buster to "Hologram" and generates the words "THE RIGHT PLACE"]

*Pulls out his can of ripe mace*

Why we need this is beyond me, but you're the one who can see the tunnel, GL.

*To interested in proceeding to notice the floating words*

*Peers through the opening and sees a robot that originally was one of the Montressor robots, but now has all sorts of extra parts grafted on. One of the parts is a laser blaster, which is currently aimed at the doorway that the group just came from. The robot seems to be getting restless, since he hasn't heard anything from outside the doorway in quite some time.

Just then, GL reaches down and pets Zeppo, to keep him quiet. GL's hand brushes over the device on Zeppo's collar, and the robot inside the room developes a major leg twitch, which he manages to subdue after grasping it in both hands.*


Pass the word. It's a robot in there and it just had a violent twitch.

The crowbar in the chair is a big snitch.

[Roll] [whisper] Purple monkey dishwasher.

[Protoman] [whisper] Whatever.

It's Robbie Benson and he's a very rich dishwasher. Maybe that's why we need the rice paste - it's hard to get that off of dishes.

Shouldn't someone turn out those floating holographic words? They're attracting moths.


/* Zeppo's leg twitches too - GL seems to have found just the right spot */

[Protoman and Roll give up saying anything.]
