debate whether or not the genie had a gender. Bruce pointed out that the genie "Appeared to be more or less female when we first met." but Elliot said that, "the genie was clearly a 'he' in the last post. Check it out yourself!"
Bruce read the last post, and was wondering whether it was a typo, an intentionall plot device, or just a forgetful researcher. After . . . the dog (I can't even remember his name anymore. How long have we been writing this, eh?) pointed out that it was silly to argue about such mundane things, the group all decided to retire. Except for Arnold, Maria's Head, and Bruce.
Arnold kept screaming at the trees for no apparent reason, but Maria and Bruce were looking at the stars. They managed to see a UFO descend into the atmosphere, but at the time they thought it was just a falling star. It didn't really matter, as it wouldn't become important again for another seven posts. Anyway, eventually everyone became so tired that they fell asleep.
The next morning . . .

...everyone had a bad hair day.
"God," said Elliot, "I look so bad. I don't want the world to see me."
"Yeah," said Steve (who hadn't spoken for many posts now - he decided to speak just then just to remind the researchers that he was still there),"Cuz I don't think that they'd understand. What we've all been through that is."
Suddenly they all looked up to see Maria's body (clothed - for decency's sake) walking along and bumping into trees and such like.
"Ah," thought everyone (similtaneously just to make the story that little bit more interesting),"how convenient."
So Elliot picked up Maria's head, walked over to her body and said,"Here let me help you."
He put her head back on her body and there was a brilliant flash of light (because she's still princess of the Universe, remember?) and head and body were re-united as one as was always intended.
Everyone was just beginning to think that everyone else was going to live happily ever after when...

they realised that in another five posts, that spaceship would become important, and they knew that it would become important in a hugely plot-changing way, because the only way things like that don't end up having much effect is when everyone expects it to be exciting and the Next Researcher decides to just shrug it off to surprise everyone.

Arnold continued screaming at the trees. Most of it was jibberish like this: "I will ibckdse, and then ahljfsl, you'll see in 4 more posts. ACDMAE>Dhafjasj!"
The group just tuned him out and decided to remember if Steve had been subtracted from the group a long time ago. They seemed to think it was that way but it had been about 2 weeks, or something. They didn't have too much time to think about that because suddenly....!!
they were playing a nice game of monopoly. Bruce had a large and vast empire of hotels and Elliot was on the brink of death. He rolled the die praying that he didn't get a 5...

But just as the dice came to a halt, it was on a computer screen, which then flashed to a view of a huge carnival, with little people running everywhere and something flattening out more land to put in another ride and umbrellas moving around all over. In a little corner, numbers were increasing and decreasing at random, labeld 'Guests' and 'Income'...
Arnold peeked at the machine and spoke again, so Bruce translated:
"Oooh, what's that? I wish I was there."
*SPLOOOOOSH*
Suddenly they all found themselves inside the scene they'd just been watching. Steve looked at Arnold and said, "Since when did you get majikal powers?"

Previous researcher stepped back in to apologize. "Since this is a major scene change, it's time for a chapter change, too. So if you'll all just follow me..."
Bruce, meanwhile, was trying to interpret what Steve said into Monkey, but ...
