h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*this is a large room with long tables stretching the length, furnished with good food - meats, wines, water, bread.*

*grand ceremonies are also held here when the need arises.*

*Enters and picks up a plate, helps herself to some food and goes to sit by the window*

*Finishes her meal and leaves*

*Kandrill and massey enter the room, find's a table next to the wall, placeing the books on the table, Kandrill goes and fetches food for himself and massey*


Good gurb this eh! massey! I'm going to have a look in one of the books, you keep an eye out!

*Kandrill takes out his wand and places a book in front of himself, waves the wand over the book and mutters a few words, his wand tip glows a deep red and then purple, then back to normal, willow green!
Better not open this one here, massey its full of the nastys, I'll finish the grub and we'll go to the libary, and try to find a safe way of openen it!*

* Kandrill finishes his food, massy and kandrill gets up and packs up the books,takes the empty plates to the counter in the corner and leaves for the liberary*

Right then massy, we'll have to be a bit carefull when opening these as theres a curse or two on these books!

*a dish falls off the counter and breaks*

*a few glasses shatter*

[Fie]...!

*Lumien walks in, two ancient books in her hands, looking for a member of the High Council. She suddenly remembers how long it had been since she last ate.*

*Sighs* Haven't been able to find anyone yet. Oh well. Even High Council members have to eat sometime.

*Lumien takes a seat, and helps herself to some food. Before she starts eating, she remembers the recent infestation of Fies, and thinks of the adverse affects a spilled pitcher of water on some certain ancient texts could have on her future. Wraps books up in several layers of napkins, and places them on a chair, far enough away to be out of range of any Fie-flung food or drink, but still in sight. Satisfied of the safety of the books, she sits down and eats hungrily.*

*the Fie tips over the salt celler*

*Ignores the Fie, as long as it leaves the books alone. Drains water glass, and continues eating.*

*to Fie* You know, if you spill salt, you should throw a bit of it over your left shoulder. If you don't, you'll have bad luck!

*continues eating*

*Fie leaps off the table and hides by the deserts*

*Lumien finishes her meal and sweeps up the spilled salt. She grabs the books, and leaves, still looking for a High Council Member.*

*Lady Shaylar comes in, helps herself to some food, sits down and opens a book*

*Shaylar closes her book, clears her plate away and Leaves*

*Lord Curmanis walks in, grabs a plate and sits down*

*starts eating*

*Gets up and leaves for the arena*

*Collects some scraps and puts them in a bag and leaves*

*wolf wanders through looking to see if anyone's around*
