I'm a Freak!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 1, 2000
It's not difficult though, is it?
That morbid song up there, the guy who wrote it should be sending me a demo of it. But seeing as we only know each other by a few messages via email, he will have to email the demo. and I hope it doesn't take too long to receive.
Uh, has anyone heard of Suffocation and Tomb Of The Mutilated? Cos that's what the song's meant to sound like.

Well, let's start a new one! Monty python rules the universe!

Tomb of the Mutilated actually rings a faint bell somewhere in the back of my head...

Sounds suitable obscure for me not to have heard of it (or them) before.
Sure, Monty Python is great, but sometimes it seems like a bandwagon that people jump on to be cool. Some sketches, like the parrot one, get rehashed by people so often you just have to stop and say "hold on, it's not that funny".
It's a shame, because Monty Python is ace, more so because it's english

Yeah. Their songs are great as well.
My personal favourite being "Always look on the bright side of life"
I'm a Freak!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 2, 2000
I had some friends whose only experience of Monty Python was the films. So they thought Python was a guy who made films.
Ah, pity them in their ignorance. They were missing out of the rest of the great stuff.
Holy Grail one is prolly thebest...or maybe Life Of Brian...

Cutlery, co-founding Freak and Patron Saint of Cutting Remarks ?¿ Posted May 2, 2000
yeah. I haven't seen the Meaning of life, is it any good?
I'm a Freak!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 2, 2000
It's alright. Not as good as the others, but it's still ok. John Cleese strips, they take the piss out of catholics and there's topless women running around for a bit near the end, so it's got something going for it...
I'm a Freak!
Archangel Tweetie (01/06/02...) Posted May 2, 2000
Life of Brian's still the best IMHO.
I have to admit a fondness for the spam sketch.
To the point where I actually designed a massive email on it, cept I still haven't finished cos I need the lyrics...
*shudders*
John Cleese stripping.
I hope there was no Russian involved...

I've had the lumberjack song going round my head all day.
I'm lucky I didn't start to hum it during biology.

The song at the end is one of their best - "...and pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space... 'cos there's bugger all down here on Earth!"

I think that's unfair- we're all perfect specimens of intelligent homo sapiens.
Even Gavi'e (damnit Cutlery, I just can't stop bitching about him. Help me!)
