Very true!

Yes, a fine idea, but the tree is back in the present. I mean the past. You know... it was planted it before we entered the rift.
Visiting the tree now will have to be done in a parallel reality because I think it is unlikely we will have found our way back in time in time.

Also true.

Well, that depends....for instance, if we go back to the time that we'd originally left, we'd be about a year older, and thus out of place. But then again, various backlogs say that I'm already back anyway, so it's probably the former.
Still....it would save a trip...

I suspect it's one of those Dr Who type things and we shall return a split second after we left.

Or worse. Our parallel selves might go out to get a tree when suddenly we show up with the same tree from a different time. I bet there is nothing in the time travel manuals about what happens when a christmas tree coexists with itself in the same time and place.

That could be wierd.

Afgncaap5 Posted Dec 1, 2004
What if it was three trees? Or four? Or five? Or six, seven, eight, or nine?!
But worst of all....
Oh, ten-enbaum...
Sorry....it sounded funnier in my head than when I typed it...

Garius Lupus Posted Dec 6, 2004
Or, what if we arrived with a tree every day for just under a fortnight? We'd have the twelve days of christmas trees.
You're right, Affy - these things DO sound better in your head

Hmmm....when we get back, we should cross mind reading technology with audio/visual presentation technology. There's a fortune to be made here.

I want in! Don't know what I would do but, I want in!

Why, thanks, Caer! You'd be amazed at how far we can make that amount go at the electronic surplus store, or the chemical supply store, or at the toy store.

Afgncaap5 Posted Dec 13, 2004
Remember when I built the hydrogen bomb from that one store? The right combination of new "electronic" toys, with antique toys that were radioactive enough to glow in the dark....man, I don't think I've ever seen an Environmental Protection Agency agent so frazzled.

I wish I had seen that! I love seeing the EPA frazzled.

I'm kind of frazzled by the idea of someone's thoughts going directly into a bulleted powerpoint presentation. Caer, put that money back in your purse! It's awful, oh so awful!
Looks like the fog is lifting.

Don't stand in the way of progress, d'E. The psychopowerpoint'll be the wave of the business world's future.
*Also notices the lifting fog*
Surprisingly, this *STILL* isn't the longest h2g2 adventure that I've ever been on.
