one of the ways to dehydrate something is to bury it in salt, as salt extracts the moisture, thats why salting meat is a good way of preserving it, this has been done for millenia
was this burried in salt??

Does 'score' here mean Engrave?
A 'Minor Phoenician' Something named after same?
Dehydrate. Was this burial in sand, or was 'it' found, buried in sand?
Provoke great anger. Was this a forgery that was discovered to be so at a much later date?
Hmm!

carthage was a phonecian city, after its fall rome destroyed the city, not leaving 2 stones standing and then salted the ground so nothing would grow there, eradicating carthage for all time

Some bible translator / commentator misinterpreted something on a phoenician character? Like, the character's name meant something like 'full of water' and the monk misunderstood it as 'the dry one'?
More generally, was the victim a real living person at the time of the dehydration (whatever that one is)?
Key: Complain about this post
