Hi, all!
IIEM: Kona, please.
*notices photo of tire on the wall*
Looks that that might be a Firestone. I hope nobody got hurt.

My Saturn runs on Firestones, but not the style that's been causing all the problems. Mind you, it's my 3rd car since I came to live in the US and the first to give me flats -- have had 3, all from road debris ripping into the sidewalls.

Morning, Lil!
Did you hear Ook lost? It's a once in a lifetime type of thing...

Lil, Ralph Nader says that there are more tires involved than just those 3 models officially recalled.

I'll be back later, trying to avoid the 'XML Loading Error' messages that keep coming up over at my place...
Bye all!

Hey all, long time no see. Sorry I've been absent. I've been trying to cut down on coffee.
BB; could I have a c(_) of tea, earl grey, hot?
Now what's this I hear about Ook losing? Do you think I should play him to cheer him up? I never win at scrabble.

My tire wasn't one that was recalled -- it was a Goodyear, and one or two years old, but in good condition. I was driving into Pueblo, Colorado (or maybe Colorado Springs. I can't remember right now), on the freeway, going about 60 or 70 in the far left lane, and I swear I didn't hit anything! But all of a sudden this thing just blew up! And I had to move all the way over to the right before I could exit, and finally find a place to park and change it!

Any more fresh tea? Please?
Glad you're alright after that blowout, Irv. Road rage worries me even less than blown tires.

Well, Joanna, how about we play together against Ook, then he'd be sure to win.
Hi Joanna. How's your week going?

My physics (I have 'homework' to hand in by Sept. 1st) is a nonstarter but there's a vague chance I may possibly go to Prague next month! yay!

I'm ok. Running various receptionist errands, up to and including sandwitching the entire corporate office.
Homework. *shudder* Oh, that's why I didn't want to go back to school. Oh, thanks, Joanna, for reminding me.
Hey, Irving is back! Irv, I promise that I will read your tarot at some point or another! I swear!! Do I still get a pastrie named after me?
