Oh, yeah.... Sorry, forgot you asked 'bout time zones. I'm in the Pacific time zone. California. It's cold right now... 8:30 PM. It's hot during the day.... I just wish the d*mned weather would make up it's mind.

Wow, incredible amount of people drifted by here while I was "napping". Something to wash the sleep from my eyes, IIEM - how's about a Turkish roast, so thick I have to scrape the dregs from the bottom with an industrial-strength teaspoon.

*thinks: how come it's called a teaspoon, when I use them predominantly for coffee....*

A teaspoon is an old-fashionned but convenient household measure. A teaspoon holds about 5cc. Three teaspoons = a tablespoon.

Which makes me wonder why it's called a tablespoon. It is hard to fit a plate on a tablespoon.

And a "cup" is never used to hold coffee, much to my eternal disgust.

This is perhaps why I was always kicked out of domestic science classes at school...



And it is also why I prefer to cook Asian cuisin - you never have to measure anything - just toss this an that into the wok, and voila! (excuse my mixing of cultures there in the one sentence)

Only a mug would eat stodgy (mainly) Brit/USA food.
