Agreed, Lil. I did not see, it was not here.
And, for a change of pace, I think I'll have some tea with that sympathy.

Ah, yes-happily this table is out of the repair zone.
*enjoys remaining crumbs of m==*
Lil, I actually dreamed about this pastry. Never heard of it til I had it here. What other kinds of dishes are from Corfu?

*wanders in, looking a touch bleary*
Hello, everyb-- oh. There's a hole in the roof. Neat.
*notices Digi has been fed, thanks kind entity who did so, and silently berates self for not doing so sooner 'cept she wasn't here*
*scratches his ear as he polishes off yogurt*
Y'know, kitty, you've shown yourself to be reasonably telepathic from time to time. l imagine you could communicate with the llEM if so you chose...
Diogenes:
}One blackcurrant tea for the hungover-looking mortal over here. And some mbougatses for me.{
Oh, l see how it is. Perfectly capable, yet lazy...but then, you're feline, after all...
*sighs and fetches the cat his pastry, shaking head -- and considers feasiblility of setting up deck chair under hole to catch a bit of sun whilst she convalesces*

I realize I don't normally fly, but I've been walking on air today after noticing there's been an acceptance eMail from NAU waiting on my old (and often unchecked) eMail adress for nearly a week now! Yes, I am now officially a Lumberjack, and I'm OKAY! (The lumberjack is the mascot of Northern Arizona University -- NAU).
Hello Lil, ox, Odra, Wittty, and everyone else! I see from our forum heading that our Post feature is up! Lil, do you think our profits could withstand another declaration of free drinks in celebration? I think I do that too often...

tea for Witty M ---------> c[-]
bc tea and mbougatses for Odra ---------> c{*} and m==
Let's all hope no newbie wanders in to say it's raining!
Nice to see you Odra.
Corfiot cuisine is heavily influenced by Venice and Turkey, more by Venice. Back when Venice was a major world power, Corfu was a supremely strategic island at the mouth of the Adriatic Sea, so Venice and Turkey fought over it constantly. But Venice had it most of the time. So there are lots of pasta dishes, and an interesting avgolemono, or chicken in lemon sauce. And there's a dish of goat meat and ziti pasta you don't want to know much about.
Well, I have to be off and do some stuff, but I'll be back later. *puts IIEM on autopilot* If repairmen come, just let them in.

*looks up, blinking*
Oh, hi, Ox, and g'bye. And thanks, Lil. And also goodbye...
*sips tea gratefully, hands half of pastry to cat, who takes it, looking slightly haughtily at her, but then nibbles at mbougatses, and all is (mostly) forgiven*
Sorry, Digi, sorry...RL and all.
*swishes tail*
*she gives him the rest of the pastry*
Sigh. Hi, lrv, and congratulations. Could l maybe get another round of mbougatses? l have a voracious cat.
*can't resist humming The Lumberjack Song to herself, but tries to do so quietly*

Hi, Witty, and SW too.
Sigh. Wish it was sunny in RL here. Thunderstorms again. Be not surprised if l vanish, kids...
*sips tea*
Although let it be said l never actually switch off the computer in a storm. l just leave it on until the power actually surges, and even then have been known to promptly turn it back on -- until the power's out for good, that is.

Hi Mon,
I've heard RL kids are a strain on the spirit, but essentially good for the soul.
My old man still gives me earache from time to time

Hi Odradek,
Sunny here for the first time in what seems decades mind! Summer in the UK? Maybe some other time...

Odradek (she who lurks, green Lifesaver-like) Posted Jul 19, 2000
l've been in lreland for summer, SW...London too, for four hours or so. l like wet, grey, cool weather, so l was perfectly content -- but it stays light so -late- there, in summer! l suppose it's due to your longitude, but it unnerved me a great deal, with twilight setting in around 11 at night.
lt's sunny there, then? Must be nice. Where are you located?

Hello, Spiritual Warrior, nice to meet you!

Very droll, SW.
Actually, I suspect it's a case of swimmer's ear. We're off to the Dr. in a bit to find out for sure.
