Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
Babel17 Posted Jun 3, 2000
*leaves Joanna in peace, to get on with it*
Need to pop out for a bit. Back soon.
Switching IIEM to autopilot.
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
<somat_witty> Posted Jun 3, 2000
*once again doesnt bother reading backlog..
you know, maybe someone with way too much time on their hands could set up a forum in which people could post the IMPORTANT bits of what goes on in here on a day to day basis so that i dont have to be really behind.... Just a suggestion..
*takes mug from shelf and asks IIEM to fill it with something to help her memorise her chemistry coursework
I think I'll sit in the corner and drink this, then I'll be off

Babel17 Posted Jun 3, 2000
*reappears and takes sign down*
Hi Michelle, how are you. How was your induction?
*helps self to coffee*

Vladimir Posted Jun 3, 2000
*Wakes briefly. De ruffles hair. *
*muttering* I haven't been inducted in ages... well not willingly..
*back 2 sleep*
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
Babel17 Posted Jun 3, 2000
*nods sympathetically at Vlad's nocturnal mumblings*
I know what you mean
Thinks: Blimey it's quiet today.
*helps self to Fresh Coffee. Wonders if an 'Irving W's Own Blend' could be June's Flavour of the Month*

Woops, something major just came up IRL.
Gotta drop out for a while.
Folks, the IIEM is on etc., etc.
Later.

<somat_witty> Posted Jun 3, 2000
Hey again,
my induction went pretty well which was good because I was very scared about the whole thing before hand...
*notices water leaking underdoor..
Umm, is this place able to flood or did someone just spill something outside?
Anyways, I hope whatever is going on with B-17 sorts itself out pronto...
I should be studying for chemistry but I really just can't get motivated today.. maybe tomorrow??
*considers setting up the thread that she suggested earlier- would anyone use it? could save me (and everyone else) a lot of time in not having to read the backlog continuously
*orders mocha and biscotti
*sits at counter....
How come its so quiet in here today? TALK TO ME
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
Babel17 Posted Jun 3, 2000
I'm back, but it is still IIEM service, by the way.
Hey Michelle.
Ha, ha about the water!
I don't care cos I'm not there!
I think we will be ok here. Perhaps the Fountain at the beach has sprung a leak?
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
Vladimir Posted Jun 3, 2000
*Wakes violently with bruised ear drums*
Unnnhhhhhh. I'm sorry ? Did I miss somethin'?
Where did all that water come from?
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
<somat_witty> Posted Jun 3, 2000
:o)
Yeah, maybe the fountain sprunk a leak, just as long as we are ok here :o)
Things calmed down a bit then B-17 or still as hectic IRL??

*points to water running towards B-17s feet
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
Babel17 Posted Jun 3, 2000
Things are relatively calm IRL, Michelle, apart from the fact that I have just had a phonecall and have to go pick someone up at the train station.
I only just got in the door.
I'm sure any possible water problems will subside given time.
Later.
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
<somat_witty> Posted Jun 3, 2000
*stops worrying about the water seeing as B-17 is calm :o)
ook- fancy a game of scrabble later on?
Ook-- ook
*asks IIEM for a mocha
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
<somat_witty> Posted Jun 3, 2000
*just had a very nice dinner IRL
*fancies a long sweet mocha to finish it off
*stares wistfully out of the window with her mocha and ponders what to do...

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Jun 3, 2000
*comes in from porch where she has been trying to pay off some of her sleep debt*
I hate this dry itchy on-the-way-out cough. I will not leave me alone.
*notices water on floor*
*goes to broom closet and lets out cleaning bot*
Clear this water out, would you. That's all I need with bronchitis. Doesn't help the parquet either. *grumbling and coughing, looks out the front*
Ah. There's a bunch of researchers dripping wet out there, they've been jumping in the fountain to cool off again. We'll have to have a drain put in at the door, I don't want this happening all the time.
*makes tea*
There are problems about a digest, Somat. Keeping it up to date, for a start. How would you do it without reading the thread? And for it to be a digest you'd be cutting out the conversation, or at least giving some of the regulars short shrift. *stops to cough*
Did the IIEM give you your mocha? I just had a friend arrive IRL so I'm off. See you later!
*cleaning bot sucks up the last of the water and goes back to broom closet*

J'au-æmne Posted Jun 3, 2000
*sees lil leaving, gets a lemon tea and continues to write her entry, which seems a little stubborn today*

Ioreth (on hiatus) Posted Jun 3, 2000
Afternoon all.
I read all the backlog this time... I'm so proud.
Vlad, you're leaving us?
*is ignored by sleeping vladimir*
That's awfully sad. Oh wait, I'll be leaving us soon as well.
Could I get an OJ? We're all out IRL.
Caretaker Counter Pt. 11
<somat_witty> Posted Jun 3, 2000
Yeah, I guess that a digest would kill the atmosphere in here- hows about more of a notice board type thing- or is there one of those, like, Vlad is leaving, that could go up there, and theres a parrot (i think)- i dont know its name, maybe that could go up? Just if a regular had important news- kind of like a pin board or something?
Key: Complain about this post
