Morning, Lil hope I'm not making the place untidy, I left my coffee cup in the old thread so can I pick up a fresh double espresso please.

Well, if you're asking about the contemporary scene you'd better address that to Ormondroyd All I know is it's only two weeks until I get to see John Mayall

All these upcoming concerts... only a few weeks till Mike A goes to the Iron Maiden concert at Earls Court.

This appears to be one of the busiest forums, though it doesn't look very busy?
And it is a cafe?
Could I have a macchiato then please?
And how does one pay around here?
(sorry for all the questions, I've never come across a website quite like this one before now)

Oh boy, it's a long time since I saw Iron Maiden. 'Get your rocks off' had just been released. Somehow it got mutated to 'Get your socks off' late at night with a couple of drinking buddies, accompanied by the removal of said items. Ah, we were young, foolish and carefree in those days .

Hallo Cidhis! Well, we have had so many entities join h2g2 this past week that it can actually be difficult to move around at certain times of the day.
The only form of currency we accept here is conversation. It's a shame when people come here for the first time but never come back after they drink their first coffee. And the coffee here is good. Have you read the menu?
And what was that order again?
Slider, you've seen Iron Maiden? Have you discussed the experience with Mike A?

Long, long time ago at Victoria Halls, Hanley. Back in the days when NWOBH really was New . Can't recall whether I've ever mentioned it to Mike A.

Hello, folks. It's been years since I've been to any sort of concert. I think the last one might have been Alice Cooper, of all people! He was playing in an arena in our relatively small city - somewhat of a decline from his big rock star days.
Oh, and could I get a majik tea, please.

Okay well Asteroid Lil, I think I can manage some conversation, though Iron Maiden is not one of my stong points for subjects to talk about.
I have read the menu, that's why I asked for a macchiato, because it is in the menu and I think I will like it..., I hope I will like it anyway.

One macciato for Cidhis.
IM are not really my main musical fare either, but my cyber-nephew has been trying to enlighten me. I think they are primarily a concert, live band, and not really satisfactorily experienced via CD. For my own part, I've been listening to a lot of Ry Cooder and Chopin piano, lately.
So now I'm hearing about a new and twisted email virus which was launched here in the US....

Greetings all, welcome cidhis
Speaking of concerts, I will be going to the Metallica, Kid Rock, Korn, System of a Down, Powerman 5000 concert in July
I must tell you of a great experience I had yesterday. I went to an 8th grade talent show, to support a friend of mine who was judging it. Not expecting much, I just sat back and watched some dance routines and some singing. Then I was privy to one of the BEST Bach piano recitals I have EVER heard .... and this was by an 8th grader. I was completely blown away.
It just goes to show that beauty can be found is some surprising places
Oh and if I could have some tea please Lil.
And thanks for agreeing to do the scrolls, have you taken a look at the Garden?

Tea for Courtesy -------> c(~)
1471, you didn't specify. So here is an Italian ice cream soda with vanilla & hazelnut flavoring ----> c
Yes, Courtesy, I've been by to admire your garden and teahouse, and will start on your scrolls as soon as I finish my commitment to do webdings for tmwc.
Nice to meet you 1471, what drove you to talking on the phone all day?
Good to have new faces, too.
*puts notice up on message board*
Afgncaap5, do not ask the 2nd Ass't. caretaker to make your Usual. She can't. Only Irv and the IIEM know how, and only Irv can do it with the necessary musical accompaniment!

Thanks Lil -
1471, good to see you.
I was curious. What drove you to talk on other peoples phones all day and not your own

Ohmigod! *drops her cup* You have Full Stop Disease!
Wait a minute, this seems quite surreal. How should I not know who the last person to call me was? Don't the Brits have answering machines?
Caretaker Counter Part 3
Unch Posted May 19, 2000
but what if they dont leave a message?
pressing 1471 tells you who called even if you dont answer. and its free

We have *69 in the states. You don't find out the name of the person who called, but it rings the phone back, and you get to ask why they didn't leave a message
Key: Complain about this post
