Well, ok, now you've asked for it.
Here's a # called The Ballad Of Jimi Jendrix:
"*3 and a half seconds of guitar beat*
He's dead."

Mother Nature's son..."

All day long I'm
Sitting singing songs
For everyone

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Apr 9, 2000
*Mike plays little bass riff*
"All day long I'm sitting singing songs for everyone"
*everybody for the chorus now!*

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Apr 10, 2000
Chorus? What chorus? What on earth is happening?!
And The Band Played On...

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Apr 10, 2000

I get in from work at 2AM and sit down with a beer
Turn on late night TV and then wonder why I'm here
It's meaningless and trivial and it washes over me
And once again I wonder is this all there is for me?
Here I am again
Look at me again
Here I am again
On my own
Trying hard to see
What there is for me
Here I am again
On my own
Life seems so pathetic I wish I could leave it all behind
This canvas chair this bed these walls that fall in on my mind
Hold on for something better that just drags you through the dirt
Do you just let go or carry on and try to take the hurt?
Here I am again
Look at me again
Here I am again
On my own
Trying hard to see
What there is for me
Here I am again...
...on my own
_____________________________________________________________
As I lay here lying on my bed
Sweet voices come into my head
What it is I wanna know
Please tell me it's got to go
There's a feeling that's inside me
Telling me to get away
But I'm so tired of living
I might as well end today

Not hard to guess...Iron Maiden
Ok ok, it's cheap, I always take songs off them. But they are the only HM band that produces sensible music. Sorry.

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Apr 10, 2000
That's alright. I usually don't listen to HM, mostly 'cause I can't make out what on earth they're singing! But those lyrics were good!

*Takes a deep breath*
BB Bubble and the stingers,
Mott the Hoople, Ray Charles singers
Lonnie, Mac and Twanging Eddie,
here's my ring, we're going steady
Take it easy, take me higher,
lier lier house on fire
Locomotion Poco passion
Deep Purple, satisfaction
Baby, baby, gotta gotta
gimme gimme, getting hotter
Sandy's cooking, Leslie Gore
Richie Valens, end of story
Montavista fugiama
Kama Sutra ramalama
Richard Perry, spector Barry
Rogers Dodgers, Neilson, Harry
shimmy shimmy coco bop
Fats is back and down at the hop
*Sharp intake of breath*
Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me
gotta turn it up louder, so my DJ told me

Anybody know the lyrics to "A Simple Desultry Philippic (or how I was Robert McNamara'd into Submission)" by Simon & Garfunkle?
Aroma Forest Sing Along!
Garius Lupus Posted Apr 11, 2000
Many years ago, I spent countless hours with my ear to a speaker trying to make out those words. They have stuck permanently in my head. Knew they would come in handy some day.

Penguin Girl - returned at last Posted Apr 11, 2000
You've all been singing for so long...perhaps it's time for a drinking(or drunk) song?
Show me the way to go home
I'm tired and I wanna go to bed
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it's gone straight to my head
Wherever I may roam
Over land or sea or foam
You'll always find me singing this song
Show me the way to go home
