The Aroma Café: Summer of Love

The Rainbow nation! home of Madiba himself - South Africa - honestly I'm a Welsh-Canadian-Brittish-SouthAfrican (and I think there's Dutch and norwegian in there too but hey, who's counting
. But after my pilgrimage to the lands of my genetic history - I can truly say that I'm African to the bone!
Strange that - maybe its the history of segregation - also the whole colonisation age - but saying you're a South African really doesn't mean terribly much . . . We really dont have a cohesive cultural identity as a nation . . . . I guess in that way we're a bit like the US (with a vatly different outlook on the world).

Yay! Another mutt!
Well, I'm proud to be an American, and you should be proud to be a South African as well! We both share homes with people who fought for freedom.

[Mog] Not to mention who, at a later time, fought in a completely POINTL-- oh, wait, you said SOUTH African. Never mind. Iraq's further north than that.

Despite the red hair, not a lick of Irish in me. Welsh, Scots, English and German. Not that that really matters, I suppose, since I live in the vast cultural wasteland that is California.

English. Eccentric English, but there has been little if any intercountry mingling of my families DNA in recent generations. I prefer being eccentric though.

Grrr. You're all too interesting. Well from now onwards I am no longer attatched to any country. I have no nationality. I come from No-mans land.

Interesting is certainly the word!
What drinks are soporofic? Not that I'm giving up tea of course.

Dizzy the Void Posted Aug 27, 2004
[Mog] Well, there's always Sleepytime Tea from Celestial Seasonings ... that way, you won't have to give up tea! It's American, though ... and spooned if I know where to buy it.

A Brit Mutt, Welsh, Irish, English and Yorkshire!
I can say I have the true Celtic colouring, light brown hair and green eyes. The Celts orginated in what is now Germany, it's believed.
However, I can't remember when my hair was light brown last, .
I have relatives all over the World, on the Welsh and Yorkshire sides of the family. It is just shiny brilliant that email makes it so easy to stay in touch with them
IIEM a veggie juice please. I hope you do smoothies, as tomorrow I move into Phase 2 and fruit is reintroduced.

*squints, and discovers that a has been weaving a web between the tip of her nose and the table that she's been leaning over*
*sits up straight, destroys the web with a fleeting gesture of the hand, gently catches spider in her hand*
*gets up, marches to the door, opens the door, throws the spider out, closes the door, approaches the IIEM*

Caramel Machiatto, please IIEM- I've been spending most of my non-hootoo hours tutoring.
Of course, no one shows up. So that means I sit there and get paid to do my homework!
Until I run out of homework. Then I sit and try to balance a pencil on my nose to pass the time!
