IIEM, Rooibos please, with cinnamon and bergamot.

I'm feeling about an even 100 years old today, and it's my day off! In RL I'm having an Ethiopian Harar coffee I roasted in my wok purchased from http://www.coffeebeancorral.com/default.asp

Hopefully the caffiene will help me clean my house *lots of smiley - dog hair*

Do you think it's wise to have a smiley - dog?

Yes! I've decided I'll always have a smiley - dog. I'd also like a smiley - cat but husband says no.

I haven't had a smiley - dog before, well, almost. But my kids demand one. I am thinking about a scottish terrier as there will be some puppies available soon. And this is not a very hairy smiley - dog. smiley - winkeye

[Mog] Well, smiley - cats are certainly nice. We have a smiley - blackcat named Ophelia. She's really cute and always likes to snuggle! smiley - smiley

Personally I don't really like dogs. There are one or two that I've met in my life which seem okay, but I've never really been a dog person. (My Dad has said that when I was a baby in a push-chair I was once attacked by a dog, but I don't remember it and if I was it probably wasn't serious).
Cats are much nicer than dogs - when did you hear of a child being killed by a mad pet cat? They're more independant and that means that when they spend quality time with you it means more. And they don't slober your face.
Over Christmas I went home to visit my family and saw my sister's new dog for the first time...

Hmmm...could be why your favourite animal is not a smiley - dog, Bluebottle! I'm so happy to see you and to be in time for smiley - tea

Hati, the smiley - mouse would be happier with a smiley - dog than with a smiley - cat

My current consultant has a pet parrot which she takes for walks in the park. Really I am not joking.

I like smiley - cats but A likes smiley - dogs and the landlord likes neither so I guess we're stuck with our tropical fish and pot plants. Well my tropical fish and pot plants.

*I* would prefer tropical fish and pot plants. I actually have around 40-50 houseplants but the temperature here is too jumpy to have easy tropical fish. I mean then I should have good equipment for those, too. In winter the temperature falls sometimes more than 10 degrees C in a day. Indoors temperature, I mean.
But kids want dog. And the dog expecting puppies atm is so nice, wellbehaved, dignified black lady. It is really tempting. smiley - winkeye

The tanks with in built heaters and thermostats are very good, Hati, they cope well with changes in temperature, not matter how dramatic. Once the water is warm it takes quite a while for the temperature to drop. I rather miss No2 son's smiley - schooloffish now that he has left home. Cassie smiley - cat misses them too smiley - winkeye

I have always had smiley - catsmiley - cat, I wouldn't know how to go about looking after a smiley - dog. The only people I've known to have smiley - dogsmiley - dog always had houses that smelt of them, although I suspect this was not entirely the dog's fault and I'm sure modern smiley - dog shampoos are much better. The only house that didn't smell of them was a good friend's, but their smiley - dogsmiley - dogsmiley - dogsmiley - dog where working animals and largely spent their time in the gun room (it was quite a posh farm).

I have a friend who is so much in smiley - love with all kind of animals. She says animals don't smell bad if they are properly taken care of. She has 3 dogs and 2 rats, also a cat though she is allergic to cats. All the zoo lives in the house and they really don't smell.

IIEM, a very hot hot chocolate and a bowl of water please.

I've heard of cats killing babies. Well, at least when I was kid I heard of superstitions about cats sitting on babies' faces while they slept and smothering them. My mother refused to have a cat as long as there was an infant in the house. I think this was probably more superstition than fact, probably about 100% more.

Cats make me feel insecure about myself. And I tend to move way too often. I have this impression that cats care more about the place than about the humans.

Years ago I had a friend in Ottawa who had an African grey parrot that ruled the household and terrorized the Siamese smiley - cat. The bird would climb up the back of the chair you were sitting on and start picking at your hair, glasses, collar, anything. I soon moved to Florida and it's just as well as that bird might have ended up as a Sunday dinner and a feather duster.

Today's home roasted coffee was a tasty organic Timor Maubesse smiley - biggrin
