Speaking of good games, I'm getting back into Go. I wonder if there is a notation equivalent to chess that would allow for play?

There was the most stupid but tragic accident in the area yesterday. The fire department truck was hurrying to a accident place and drove on the street crossing under the red light, there they met with a cab. By the hit the firecar broke down a streetlight which fell directly on a 13-year-old boy who was crossing the street under the green light, hit him by head causing immediate death. Also 2 men, both 55, were hurt in the cars.

Did the men in the van not see or hear the fire truck coming? We recently had a similar thing: a car crashed into an ambulance - and the ambulance was sounding its sirens and flashing its lights - how could you *not* see or hear it?

That's awful, people sometimes just don't get out of the way of emergency vechiles though which is a bit silly when you think about it.

Hati Posted Jan 8, 2004
The wasn't more details. Maybe they hoped to make the crossing before the firecar. It had the sirens and flashing lights on and everything. And both drivers were sober.

Mrs Zen Posted Jan 8, 2004
I remember seeing a bus of all things deliberately blocking a fire engine in Glasgow once. The person I was with was shocked when I hissed "I hope his family all die in a fire". I can never ever forget that it could be me, or someone I love on the other end of that emergency call.
Hyp was asking about dreams the other day. I woke up this morning having had a couple of wierdies. In the first I was booking into a hotel, (I stay in hotels a lot when I am working), but there were problems with the key, and the booking, and I think I was wandering around the place with a towel wrapped around me at one time. I was more annoyed than anything else because of the lack of time.
In the other one I was looking around a house that I had been having done up, it was palatial, and in several different buildings, but there was some kind of problem with the spare kitchen. (A spare kitchen! I ask you!) Both are pretty easy to interpret. I am going for an interview today with for the sort of job which will involve me being away a lot; I interpret the other one as saying that my life is going to expand, but compartmentalise, and be in several different locations again. Oh, and the fact that I had to blitz the kitchen today and the builders were coming in to finish off the bathroom just seasoned the mix!

Good luck during the job interview Ben. I do hope that you'll like it. Where would the travelling be, anywhere exciting?
I'm sorry that you won't be online as much..

for Ben
My dreams have been very hectic recently. Atm everything in my life including my dreams have to do something with home, houses, apartments, neighbours and all kind of evil lurking around the corner.

ox Posted Jan 8, 2004
Ook! Ook! Old friend! *ox and Ook *
That was good dream interpretation, Ben. I wrote down a dream I had the other night and your post reminded me to try to figure it out again. Hati, my dreams have just been and weird!

Mrs Zen Posted Jan 8, 2004
Evil lurking round the corner isn't good Hati.
The interview went well, and they are going to offer me a job. The travelling will be mainly in the UK, though I would actually prefer to be properly away in Europe. Mind you, improperly away anywhere sounds good.
It remains to be seen if the terms and conditions are ok. I have a lot of thinking to do.
I am taking the Stepson off to see Aladdin tonight - the poor depraved child has never seen a panto.
Oh no he hasn't....

Congratulations Ben. At least I assume congratulations are in order? I hope you enjoy the pantomine. I haven't been to one since 1987 which was at the De La Warre pavilion in Bexhil. Very good it was too. At least it seemed it to me.
