What a cool idea! It would be just like a masked ball, where we don't know who we are talking to. It would be fun to try to figure out the people from their writing style. The Atelier would be the perfect place. Are you familiar with the place, Typolifi?

Well, I've only *been* there from time to time, and I think I read an entire thread a good while ago, but I never posted there. But it doesn't mind at all. It would be even funnier if the usual persons hanging out there tried to 'recognise' me, without actually knowing me...

A Masque! How befitting a clutch of scorpios.
There are two ways to do it. One is to create a new page and attach threads for various rooms. For instance, we could have a Grand Entrance, a Ballroom, and a Dining Room. Any more rooms, in my opinion, causes the party to become too fragmented.
The other option, AN other option, is to launch a new thread at the atelier, and just let everyone post in the one place. It has the advantage of being easier to follow, and the disadvantage of being more difficult to understand.

Just a reminder about our masque. I'll start the thread for the masque on Monday 5 November and let it run as a monofilament-style party.
I'll publish the link here and at the atelier.

Here is the announcement about the party: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F38024?thread=216816&post=2548978#p2548978 Garius, please note the previous post in 55X about construction in the new gallery; I have left you a big fat opportunity for theatricality. :-D

Shouldn't we three know about each other's mask beforehand? Or do you think someone might come as far as here and read it?

No, it's more fun to guess each others. I have just returned to h2g2 after about a week or so of not posting - work has been really busy and I haven't been able to get online lately. It's a bit better now, but not much. I'll try to work up a new persona soon.
I caught up with the Atelier backlog just this morning, Lil and mourned the missed opportunity. At least Marv picked up on it.

Well, since CLI bots did the design and construction, perhaps there are architectural "features" of which the rest of us are unaware...
The disguises are excellent, I must say, and there may be more to come!
