Patient 957

What do you guys think are the best feel good films ever? I am going to have to go with Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, October Sky, and Scent of a Woman, but that's just me.

Clerks is one of my favourites... and kid's movies never fail to make me feel good, especially "three hazelnuts for Cinderella" (I doubt it's called that in English, somehow it sounds extremely stupid), a Czech production, and all the Astrid Lindgren Movies, Ronja xxxdaughter the most. Nothing better around Christmas!

Childrens Disney films are great...especially Peter Pan smiley - winkeye
*thinks*
The only films I tend to remember are either those that scared me or those that made me cry...if I remember them for being cheery it's generally because of something else that happened on that day or something it links too...
*concentrates*
Ummm...Fern Gully?

Be patient 957. They're just being silly.

But you may have set the wrong tone with Mister Smith Goes To Washington... (American political movies only make Americans feel good. They scare the xxxx out of the rest of us.)

How about Gone With the Wind, that lovely warming scene where the Yankees torch Atlanta.. Based on a true story, too. Go figger.

I'm not being silly? I mean it...the only feel good films I can think of are Rugrats the movie and Bodyguard! What's wrong with the Bodyguard? smiley - winkeye
*instantly regrets asking that and waits for the many insults*
OOoh now hang on you're onto to something with the US political movies...anything with Tom Cruise being a great lawyer and solving unsolvable cases, they're always fun smiley - smiley

Doctor Strangelove has to be my all time favourite feel good movie.
All those nukes going off at the end and Vera Lynn (any relation to Jim) singing We'll Meet Again. I wept. And I felt good.
And of course with Peter Sellers playing three leading roles. God, he'd've made a great President...

What made you feel good about 2001? The cold unfeeling black monolith, the malfunctioning computer or the realisation of Man's puniness in the Universe. Or was it those pretty space stewardesses floating around with the drinks trays?

The Rugrats Movie isn't Disney! It's high quality entertainment... although it is sad in parts but it has a happy ending smiley - smiley
