Feel good films...
Menza Posted Jan 4, 2001
Oi, any film in which the White House gets destroyed isn't a total loss.
And I liked the game of dominoes in New York city.

Could we have Mars Attacks! then? Most of America gets destroyed _and_ it stars Natalie Portman... if _that's_ not a recipie for feeling good...

Yeah, good plot! Bad special effects. Too much teenage pukey stuff.

Hmmmn...that gives me an idea for an entry to the Guide: "Why does Hollywood (Holy Wood for the Marylin Manson fans out there) insist on casting British actors as the bad guys, or using English characters as bad guys in situations where no Brit would be seen dead...?"

I was away for a week, but to answer a previous question...
Any film that has "The Blue Danube Waltz" in without any other distracting dialogue for so long and with such beautiful moving motion *has* to be a feel good film.
Besides, the ending with the star-child has always, I felt, been very optimistic and uplifting.

*grins*
I don't think the plot/script was thought through very well...like the headless horseman reacting in horror as he 'saw' that he was riding into a tree!
Ummm...which film was that BB? I got lost somewhere back in post 2
Oooh and we need to add The Family Man to the list of good films
