Y'know up until 7.30am this morning I was all ready to put October back at the top of the list but now I have forgiven the month of bad luck as SCHUMACHER WON!!!

Month? I'm going to be like this until March, in fact maybe even until July the 15th as now the dates changed to sunnyness I get to go on my yearly pilgrimage to Silverstone...in fact then I'll be excessively cheerful (more than now, imagine my grin and with stacks of photo albums ) after that too by which time it'll be time for me to cheer on Schumi again and the whole cycle will start all over again
I've still fallen out with October though

I think I've fallen out with this october too.

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Oct 8, 2000
Because it's provided me with the potential to be annoyingly cheerful for another 12months or just in general?
*passes Menza some chocolate incase it's in general*

I must say that, even for me, it's a relief right now to be able to go to a pub where the sporting talk isn't all about who'll replace Kevin Keegan.

*grins*
Won't it be the Sunderland manager bloke, he was up for it before Keegan last time
*smiles sweetly*

I know very little about football, and I'm also Scottish, which in my opinion makes me ideal for the job of England manager.

Can you select really bad formations completely randomly from a hat and then find excuses to validate your selection?

*thinks*
Well I know Beckham doesn't normally play in goal, and the 0-10-0 formation is somewhat unorthodox, but I really feel that you have to experiment against teams like Brazil.

Ormondroyd Posted Oct 8, 2000
No, but I could probably do it and throw in the towel immediately afterwards... (thinks of salary) Yes! I'm the man! Ormy for England!

*whispers to EV "Pssst France not Brazil"*
Actually maybe you would be quite a good manager Although Beckham is one of the best players so technically he should be left on the bench and someone like Tony Adams should be put up front with possibly Michael Owen in goal as he's the smallest on the team I think...
What is the most evil thing in the world?
Ormondroyd Posted Oct 8, 2000
No, Michael Owen's not old enough to be England 'keeper, although he is sufficiently off-form to be picked. We need to bring back Peter Shilton. OK, he might be 50-odd now but his reactions are probably still faster than Seaman's.

How about Sheringham he might be an interesting goalie...infact I used to play for our school team they should let me do it, I probably still have the gloves somewhere which would save some money to buy some better players
*sits planning what combination of mid field to play*
Hmmm...Ferrari Schumacher left wing, Fisichella right, Alesi could play in defence and Button must be able to play football so he can be our err striker
