Hi BluesSlider - I believe Bluebottle's on bar duty. And if he'll do the honours, have a on me. I'll have one too, please.
Bluebottle, I see what you (and George Harrison) mean about the Spices, obviously, but IMHO Steps with the sound down is even funnier. Those utterly insane grins...

*door opens and snow and sleet follow*
good morning all!
happy Australia day Rod. I hear the weather is fab down under. Of course compared to a howling snow storm, anything is good!
May I have some fuel to start my day, please?

Better give him some fuel before the weather report from Broome. Are you warmed up yet? Time 10.02PM Temp 30C a warm balmy night down here in the tropics nothing on the radar, although there's a tropical low about 600km east of here. Could rain tomorrow, but it is the wet season.

Yes, you'd better give me some Fuel. I need to forget what Rod just said! And to think I thought we were having good weather because we only got 10cm of snow this morning. Weather like that should be outlawed...or at least shared with the popsicles who live in the Great White North!
And how is everyone today?

Rocket Rod Posted Jan 26, 2000
Mate here, Have a double Bunderberg Rum our nations finest warmer upperer. Although the weathers nice now, it's also cyclone season that tropical low to the west(sorry I said east earlier) could just turn into yet another big cyclone. Circular winds of about 200kph and lots of rain 3-4 feet in 24 hours if the last couple this year are anything to go by. Oh well at least I won't freeze to death!

Hum, maybe that Rum might warm my bones. I'll have a of that instead.
Humm, snow storm vs. cyclones? I think I'll stay with the snow, at least I can shovel out of snow! I've always wondered why people would want ot live in the path of cyclones, tornadoes and hurricanes. I hope the benefits out weigh the the 3 to 4 feet of rain in 24 hours.

CC it only rains here for 3 months of the year(the wet season) for the rest of the time the weather is bloody marvelous! But with that thought in mind I've just checked on the satelite photo's and it looks like it's time to prepare once more for mother natures onslaught. Could be a cyclone, or not, in the next few days. Well another round if you please Mister Barman. Then I've got to shut down for the night. It's 11.00PM and I've got to start work at 6.00AM tomorrow at the power station, ah stuffit I might just hang out till midnight.

15:26 Sun is shining, temperature probably about 5C. Nothing very exciting, and they say we Brits talk a lot about the weather

Oh that is good!
Humm! The Brits talking about weather? Well, that might explain why Canadians are obsessed with weather (we take to take a lot of things that are British and take it to an extreme). As for the weather here, the snow has stopped and it should be a balmy -10C.
May I have another please?
