It's just in case The Grim Squeaker wants to come in for a drink later. Remember how he used to have to use his tiny scythe as a pick to clamber up to the counter?

on tonight's menu is chicken, mushroom and red wine pie served with chips, carrots and green beans. alternative options to the pie are salmon or mixed vegetables (your choice of vegetables) in filo pastry. alternatives to the chips, carrots and beans is a mixed salad.
for dessert is vanilla ice cream and vanilla sponge cake, with cherry and kirsch hot sauce.

Who exactly is the grim squeaker and why is he so short?

The Grim Squeaker is an old regular who we haven't seen in a long, long time, and it's a pleasure to welcome him back.
He is the Death of Rats, so if you are not lucky, he will attack you all with his scythe.
And I would recommend the salmon - it is superb.

That's made me feel so hungry I'm going to have to go for a meal IRL soon!
CC - The Grim Squeaker is to rats what The Grim Reaper is to humans. He's also one of the nicest supernatural skeletal rodents you could ever wish to meet. And if you stay here, you might just meet him later!

I hope so - I gave him the link to here, so he can find it soon enough. Afterall, what's a bar without a supernatural rodent?
