Ah yes, I know them well. I once took six home (*their* home) from a Young Farmers Ball in my taxi, and the police insisted on following us half of the way due to the problems they'd caused at the hotel. Very sexist, I can handle six drunk and horny young men, no problem. Well, I could then. I was in my 20s at the time. I'm probably a bit too old now, even in the dark!

It's the only instance I have ever observed of a barman refulsing to serve someone because they are intoxicated.

Right. We'll be in Holborn. Holborn isn't far from Kings Cross. There are Thameslink trains from Kings Cross to Croydon. There are trams from Croydon to where Serephina lives and a London bus pass will work on 'em.

Geds new job means he's got to work that day (works saturday one week and sunday the next)and the persin I was gonna travel up with will now hopefully (for her) be in a hotel somewhere with a sexy squaddie and I really don't fancy travelling on my own, being ill for so long has got me quite agroraphobic
