I like the sound of the cunning one writing us a h2g2 inspired quiz. The quiz is a tradition or an old meet charter or something or some such.

If she's tim to do it it'd be great I'm sure we can find someone who doesn't want to take part who can print it out and bring it along to read it out ooo not long now is it... is it Monday today? I loose track.... regularly... and without warning...

Was there a quiz last time? I was late, so missed it if there was...

My concern is of trying to run a quiz in one corner of a pub on a Saturday night...

The bar manager may have an issue with this as well.

That is also my major concern, as we've not got the pub booked to ourselves (this has proven difficult as numbers ain't as high as they used to be, and the pub previousk, bell book and candle/olde london were getting shirty with us asking for deposits etc...)., Maybe we could print off a few copies of the question sheets and have a question sheet to each 'team' rahter than yelling out the questions to all in the pub?

That sounds like a great idea, with a time-limit provision built in. Wish I could help on setting quizzes, except I enjoy paying them too much. I could possibly see f my landlord has an old Pub quiz going spare, but then I couldn't play!

You know... it might just work Now all we need is the questions, which are think I being written then find someone with a printer and some spare paper who's going and doesn't mind not taking part... as I guess they'd need the answers too... ooo Unless someone kept the question sheets with teams answers and names of who were in the quizz team on each, and did the score thinggy on them afterwards and then have the winner etc... no, that wouldn't work would it I really shouldn't have drank a bottle of whisky on getting home from the pub last night

I've known pub quizzes where you pore over a sheet at your table. So much chatting goes on, there's no need to worry about an "exam room" atmosphere building up.

Muliple choice? Have you found someone for me to email it to who can hand it out? Even if I don't send in the answers - I could post them on h2g2 while you're all out. Then someone can log in from the wap phone and pick them up?

If you manage to print it out, I could take the quiz with me on Saturday - including the answers. I'm cr@p at those quizzes anyway.
