Yes, but Dali really knew how flexible time was/is/will be! You only have to watch his watches.
He certainly knew how morphalise atomic structure so since his time Easter eggs have embraced flangealism.

Sorry to interrupt, but I find this thread really disconcerting and try to avoid it, because it is still appearing twice on my conversations list. Am I the only one?

That happened to a few threads on the advent of Pliny. Just unsubscribe and resubscribe and that should fix it.

What to DO ?

McKay The Disorganised

No don't do that.

Lay a trail of breadcrumbs through the kitchen and out the back door. The false thread will follow it and then you can shut the door on it.

If that doesn't work then you have a gluten intolerant thread and you'll have to use smiley - cheese. Or smiley - cheesecake

smiley - cider

Dali's trains kept terrible time? Must have been difficult to wear on your wrist also.

The breadcrumb idea is sound in principle but how do you know which is the false thread? What happens if the true thread follows the breadcrumbs? What happens if both threads follow the breadcrumbs?

And most horrible, what happens if the breadcrumbs follow the threads? Breadcrumb Armageddon, that's what!

Hansel and Gretal obviously have a lot to answer for!

I recommend one of the German appliances for making breadcrumbs. They're accurate to 2 microns.

Any of the main suppliers should be able to advise. Just ask your local Brotkrümelgerätehersteller.

That was written from ie. Now I'm at home I've got a logout button in Firefox. Logged out, logged in. Still two "to do" threads.

Have had this thread showing up twice in my conversation list since we left the bbc.

smiley - sorry

As you were.

I believe you are supposed to unsubscribe from the conversation, not logging out

Firefox has nothing to do with it. He's just here for the breadcrumbs smiley - winkeye

Yes, that's it. Click on the line at the bottom of this page which says 'Click here to unsubscribe from this Conversation'. That will take you to the unsubscribe page. In there click on the line that reads 'Return to the Conversation'.

That will bring you back to this page, but the line at the bottom of the screen will now read 'Click here to subscribe to this Conversation'. Click on that line, and it will take you to the subscribe page. Click on the line that reads 'Return to the Conversation' to come back to this page again.

Your convo list should now only show on instance of this thread.

Why do I feel that this might be the most unambiguous description of 'What to do' that this thread has yet seen? smiley - erm

I really hope this will also help my thread bobbin to not split the threads! All too often, the filaments get frazzled, and before you know it, you have a tangle. Takes forever to get it straight. I tried nylon thread, but as soon as you pull it, the kinks get permanent. These days, I reckon nettle fiber gives the best threads.

some say beeswax is good for preventing thread splitting and doubling up
i have found that, in a fix, spitting on the thread helps

I tried that once and was promptly told that it was none of my beeswax. Left me perplex that did. I mean, how could it have been? We don't produce beeswax, only bees do that - and have you ever heard of a smiley - pirate paying for beeswax? Some people are just too strange smiley - erm

It w*rked very well, though smiley - ok

"I recommend one of the German appliances for making breadcrumbs. They're accurate to 2 microns."

As my grandfather used to say, "Two microns? We had to get it exact."
