Gave my boss a lift home from work because her husband had stranded her without a car, and so missed this evening's ISIHAC because I thought it'd be rude to just put the radio on.

I want to post something which my son did, who isn't on hootoo.
Last night, I watched a DVD on the PC, with a program I thought my husband had installed. Today, I got the message, that my PC had no sound, the icon for the loudspeaker was gone, and I was unable to change the settings - they weren't 'clickable'. I un-installed the program, but still nothing. Switched the PC off, went and told my husband, who ( once again) told me that I was stupid and that I had made a mistake and broken the system by uninstalling said program he didn't listen to me). Oh, and he would have a look at some point.
I then asked my son to help me, who immediately came to support me - little as he knows himself about PCs ( still more than me). I was lucky, because after I had restarted the PC, everything was back, but my son couldn't know it when he offered to help -bless him

A lucky moth!
Nope, just an ordinary old brown one, not the type you normally see indoors, but since my light was on and window open it wandered in.
Actually it was a VERY lucky moth, the light that atracted it was a tungston one so very hot, it hit the bulb and fell straight to ground aparantly dead, it stayed on ground for hours and was flying again the next morning, that kind of staying power should be rewarded!

Thats a super moth
Helped jump start the old boy's car next door this morning, not to sure if that is a good deed or not, as he is 83 years old and drives about 15mph everywhere, just about peering over the steering wheel
