Once again it is that strange time in the football season where the top team gets a trophy, the second team gets to go on holiday and the third team gets picked by playing in a final at the stadium of dreams, Wembley (or currently, its Welsh Equivalent
) ...
Yes it is playoff time for the Football League
(and of course the Conference Playoffs as well...)
The Rules
You are I know all familiar with the rules for h2g2 Fantasy Football, but hey there is no reason not to repeat them here just for those amongst you with a short attention span.
- Two points for the correct result - win, lose or draw
- One bonus point for the correct score line
- One point if the selected scorer scores at any time during the game
- One bonus point if the selected scorer scores the first goal in the game
In addition to the above rules there is one other rule just for this playoff's competition.
- The points will be awarded for the result after 90 minutes of normal play. Any play in extra time, Golden Goals, penalty shoot outs, or any other mechanism TPTB fancy using to avoid going to a replay will be ignored.
Playoff Timetable
- The Conference playoff games are 1st & 5th May.
- The Conference Final in on the 10th May.
- The Football League playoff games are on the 10th & 11th May, with the return matches on the 13th, 14th & 15th May.
- The three Football League finals are on the 24th, 25th & 26th May.
A new thread detailing the teams will be started in the week preceding each round and for the Finals.
