Oh my word, you appear to be right there Ormy
In my defense all I can say is that I took the schedules from the Official Conference League website - http://www.conferencefootball.co.uk/default.asp - so it *isn't* really my error

Ormondroyd Posted May 2, 2003
I believe that Chester were originally scheduled to be at home first, but the matches were swapped around so that Doncaster's home leg didn't clash with Doncaster races!
I forgive you for the mistake, GD, but please don't go turning American on us. 'Defense'?

Dagenham's of course being the lilly essex asses in question.
Someome's gonna tell me Dagenham's not in Essex now, aren't they?
CONFERENCE - Second Leg
GreyDesk Posted May 3, 2003
I've got a bit of bad news for you, Dagenham indeed isn't in Essex. It's a London Borough, the Borough of Barking & Dagenham to be precise.
It maybe described as being 'Essex' in the same way as parts of West London are still described as being in 'Middlesex'. But the bottom line is these areas were absorbed into into London County Council back in 1919 (? date) and have been in London in all its various forms ever since.

GreyDesk Posted May 3, 2003
It was actually 1889 that London County Council was created.
See, I told you I needed to check my facts

Robin - you might want to check what team your scorers play for.
Ormy - I know a girl called Clare Curtis. Just a random thought...

You're welcome
Right, they kicked off about 5 minutes ago. Still no score yet.
However it seems that spook and sprout I'm afraid have missed the boat on this one
CONFERENCE - Second Leg - RESULTS
GreyDesk Posted May 5, 2003
Yes, I know both matches have gone to extra time. But what happens in that time doesn't count, it is the score after 90 minutes that gets you the points, or not as the case may be
---------------------------
The 'Results':
Chester 1-1 Doncaster (HATSWELL, Barnes)
Morecambe 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge (WEST, Rigoglioso, Terry)
---------------------------
The Points:
Egon - 4 points (Chester & Morecambe result)
Robin - 4 points (Chester scorer, Morecambe result & score)
Ormondroyd - 2 points (Morecambe result)
GreyDesk - 1 point (Chester scorer)
Master B - 3 points (Morecambe result & scorer)
Otto Fisch - 1 point (Chester scorer)
Tonto - all
--------------------------
Which makes Egon and Robin this rounds joint top scorers
