Hmmmm - or one of the Seemstresses?
I always pictured Mrs Palm as slightly older - one who has been through the guild and come out on top (as it were)!!

Apparently Dreamworks is making it. Should be quite good, then.

ecks Posted May 27, 2001
And Good Omens is also being made into a movie, but not by Dreamworks.

Well that was one I didn't hear about! That should be good - is Neil Gaiman going to write the Screenplay?

Good news about Dreamworks buying the Bromeliad trilogy. Casting?
We've just discovered the Nomes books, and feel faintly smug, having said, "These are crying out to be done as animations - Pixar or Dreamworks should do them." Cosgrove Hall made "Truckers" in 1991; we found it at our library (Cambridge) and it's pretty good for its time. Joe McGann does Masklin's voice. I dunno if they did "Diggers" or "Wings" though - couldn't find it on the web.

Twoflower: should be American since he's a tourist with more money than sense of danger. How about Martin Short (Innerspace, the Three Amigos); Danny DeVito (Twins, Throw Momma from the Train, Matilda, etc etc);
There is plenty of scope for dwarvish actors to be in a Discworld movie, eg. Warwick Davis, David Rappaport.

Not that I can think of any Japanese Actors - Chinese and Hong Kong - no probs...
How about the guy that plays Marshal Law....

kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013 Posted Aug 30, 2001
I had also heard the rumour about Good Omens being made into a film. Apparently (can't remember where I read this so my sources may be inaccurate) Terry Gilliam was up for making it until the deal somehow went pear-shaped. I think that would have been a marriage made in heaven. Can't they sort it out?
Not sure it will go ahead now that we have all survived into the new millenium and fin de siecle films/books are not so trendy any more.

Ahhh.. But If Jesus was really born (according to our Calendar) in around 4 or 5 AD then we've got a couple more years until the *real* end of Millenium (hand and shrimp)...
