I had Tony Robinson down as Corporal Nobbs (Nobby), he passed his audition by being Baldrick!

Argon0 (50 and feeling it - back for a bit) Posted Jul 10, 2002
Patrician = Sherriff of Nottingham/bad guy in Die Hard III/one of two in .... AAAAHhh yes - Alan Rickman...
Leonard of Quirm = Leonardo DiCrapio - if only so he can be locked away in a tower for years...

shrinkwrapped Posted Jul 10, 2002
*waves* hello folks.
DeCaprio? Bah! Quirm's too much of an interesting character to be played by that gimp. Did you hear James Cameron wanted DeCaprio to play Spiderman when he considered directing the film?

fords - number 1 all over heaven Posted Jul 10, 2002
How about Richard Harris, replaying Dumbledore as Leonard?
Pratchett Films
Elf Lord Dante (Scout) Posted Jul 11, 2002

Teasswill Posted Aug 4, 2002
I'd go for Christina Ricca (?) (from the Addams family) for Susan Sto Helit.
How about Phil Jupitus as Detritus?
Off to think up some more maybe.

Richard Harris would have been good, but I get the feeling he'd play a better Death now....
Phil'd be good, I was expecting someone taller.. though...
Nightwatch, is a really good book, would make a good live action film... Someone like the guy in Taggart (I think its Taggart anyhoo) that had kind of replaced Taggart would be good as older Vimes...
I think that's two votes for Christina...

Have always pictured Mel Smith as Sgt Colon. Too obvious

How about Mel Smith as Sgt Colon? Too obvious? Celia Imrie as Granny Weatherwax and Geraldine James as Sybil Ramkin.

Sean Connery has to play Cohen, he's got the right accent.
Definately Alan Rickman as the patrician.
I saw Paul Darrow as Vimes in Guards Guards at Blackpool, and he has been Vimes for me ever since

Connery as Cohen would be great, but he's a bit too tall, is he not? I've always imagined Cohen to be quite small
But Alan Rickman as the Patrician would be excellent , but for some reason Cannon and Ball pop into my mind for Sgt Colon and Nobby....I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not!
As for Detritus, how about that guy who was in the Green Mile? He's HUGE!

Argon0 (50 and feeling it - back for a bit) Posted Oct 3, 2003
He is big isn't he.. .How about the bloke what played the HULK? Or rather the Computer that played the HULK in the most recent film (not that I've seen it).. Just change the colour from Green to (mostly) grey and there you go... OK maybe you'd want to leave a few bits of Green (lichen and such)...
